The sky was blanket of blue sewn with glittering white astral thread. Although the moon was only just beginning to ascend, its silver light touched the desert sand and was reflected in each grain. Nazmi took in a deep breath of the crisp night air.
Samir had arranged their date to be atop of a mountain several hours east of the Red Moon. Technically, it wasn't really a forest area – but the place the Prince had set up for them was surrounded by thick sage trees, which made it seem more like a woodland. The venue was cozy and secluded, providing enough privacy without being suffocating.
Not only that, but it felt as though Nazmi could see the entirety of the Enkh Empire from their picnic blanket. It overlooked the vast expanse of vampire badlands. It was beautiful.
The Prince suddenly appeared by Nazmi's side in a puff of red smoke. "Do you like it up here?"
