Nazmi stared into the Prince's handsome face, looking for any sort of explanation for his proposal. He seemed as though he were being genuine, but Nazmi couldn't understand why he would think of such a thing. Did… did he really want her to be his mate?
"…Why?" The nymph asked, tilting her head curiously. "What could you possibly stand to gain from… from being mated to me?"
Samir pursed his lips. His eyes were conflicted, and it took him a while to formulate a response.
"…I don't… I don't really know," the Prince decided to say, which only served to confuse Nazmi further.
She deadpanned. "You don't know?"
The Prince took a few deep breaths. "I'm… I'm not exactly used to experiencing stronger emotions, let alone articulating them. I just feel like you and I would be a good pair? I think?"
