It was the night before Nazmi was due to be traded to the wizards. She had been emotionally preparing herself for days, but there was still a stone sitting in the pit of her stomach.
As Nazmi had promised, she had left Samir alone. Not even just for one day, but for almost all of the days after the incident. It wasn't entirely on purpose, but Nazmi was sure that he was probably being more productive without her on his heels all day.
Samir hadn't even returned to their room to sleep for nearly a week, which gave her a lot of time to spend in meditation with Willow.
Controlling her power was definitely an uphill battle. It was incredibly easy in theory, but more often than not, she found herself being incredibly destructive by accident. Nazmi tried time and time again to throttle herself to no avail. She had accidentally broken a chair into a ton of wooden splinters, and even managed to shatter the mirror in their room.
