Samir had been deep in thought for most of their trip back to the Red Moon. He knew without a doubt that the little sorceress was trying to pull off something nefarious with her proposal, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
What could the mages possibly need a nymph for? If nymphs were somehow useful to them, they would have attempted to save more of them during the war. If Samir's memory served him correctly, the wizard council had removed themselves entirely from the war's equation without making a single attempt at preserving the faerie race.
After which they promptly went into hiding.
"What a bunch of cowards," the Prince hissed under his breath.
He lacked background information on the politics within the Mirage, so he wasn't able to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together.
The ordeal presented him with an amazing opportunity, though.
