FLASHBACK: TWO YEARS AGO, EVERGREEN ISLE
As the meeting of the four elder council members concluded, they left the Great Tree of Wisdom, their robes rustling in the fading light of dusk. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows as the villagers dispersed from their gathering, each retreating to their homes.
Despite the gathering having ended an hour earlier, the rich aroma of cooked meat and spices lingered in the air. The hill houses glowed warmly from within, their lights not the usual orange but a spectrum of colors—from soft purples to bright yellows—each house casting a unique hue.
In the far right corner of the island, within a dense forest, bioluminescent plants bathed the night in an ethereal light. These plants were the primary source of illumination throughout the island, eliminating the need for candles and wax.
