Chapter 25 - Loveinger Greywolf

Heidith was surprised to see her stubborn state. On purpose of teasing her, he spat out, "Really? How are you gonna prevent us from doing so?"

Mishila bit her bottom lip. She didn't know how to do that. But she was determined anyway.

Winter season was approaching. It was wasteful to throw them away. She couldn't describe how necessary they were to her. There had been countless nights she slept wearing thin clothes, trembling all over.

Only a person who experienced it knew how painful it was.

"Why are you like that?" She looked into his eyes, desperation written all over her face. She couldn't understand why she had a crush on him earlier. He was simply... Hateful. Where was the thing called empathy in him?

Heidith felt something was wrong. Did she take it seriously?

Mishila continued to talk. "Why did you kill them in the first place then? I know it's for the safety. But the skin will go wasted. What a pity!"

"Exactly." Suzamine nodded his head eagerly. "What a pity, indeed."

"But it's not even autumn yet. You guys are thinking about winter already!" Derek annoyingly rolled his eyes. "Don't be such a nuisance."

Heidith thought about it in another direction. His eyes lit up as an idea popped in his mind.

Initially, he was guilty about asking the girl for her flower. Thankfully, it was still on her head safely despite everything. Now, he finally got his opportunity.

"Okay. I'll give all of them to you," Heidith said to Mishila, relaxed.

Mishila: "..."

Suzamine: "..." 'Excusez-moi?'

"But..." He continued with a teasing tone, "You should do something in return."

"When did you become so horny?"

Heidith: "..."

Derek's question caught all of them off guard. He wanted to laugh out loud, looking at their funny expressions.

He innocently blinked, enduring Heidith's glare. "What? Did I say something wrong?"

Heidith didn't bother to deal with him. He turned to Mishila and solemnly said, "Dear I-still-don't-know-your-name girl, let's make a contract without a paper."

Mishila squinted her eyes at him. What was he up to? Her sixth sense told her that this cunning fox was dangerous despite his cute face.

"Dear I-also-don't-know-your-name boy, I'm Mishila. And..."

"Hi, Mishi. You can call me Loveinger." Heidith quickly interrupted her.

Mishila was puzzled. "Love what?" What kind of a weird name was that?

Derek burst into laughter. "Queen Ezra loved ginger when she was pregnant with his highness. So she thought of giving him the name that combined, 'Love plus Ginger.' That's how it became Loveinger in the end," He babbled without thinking much.

"As for his other name 'Greywolf', it was given to him by his majesty. As for the reason for doing so, there was a dangerous, murderous grey wolf who killed people. When King Foneth was just a teenager, he was able to kill that wolf. It was the proudest day of his life. He wanted to let the world know that, in his heart, his son was equally his pride. That's why he thought of giving him that name."

"Such weird parents, right?" He spread his arms in the air.

Heidith gritted his teeth in anger. "Do you want to die?"

How could he insult his parents? Actually, Heidith also didn't like the name 'Loveinger.' But he still loved his name, 'Greywolf.' Nonetheless, he wanted to let her address him by his most uncommon name which was a mistake. He deeply regretted it.

In the future, he wouldn't tell anyone else about his ridiculous second name! Not even his wife!!!

Although it was a threat towards Derek, Mishila was the one to get scared. She felt her knees go weak. She referred to him as her prince charming in her dream last night, not knowing that he was indeed a prince in reality.

Damn! How could she take fancy to such an unapproachable person? She was simply... Not worthy of him.

Plus, he already had a fiancée. She never wanted to destroy families.

Thinking that way, she let go of her unspoken crush, completely.

"Y-your highness, pardon this lowly pheasant. I didn't know it was you, Princess Zadhea's fiance. I seek forgiveness from you sincerely." She lowered her upper body.

Heidith was a little upset.

"Rise up," He blurted out.

Thinking of Zadhea's rude behaviour facing him and the way HE took care of her when she was in her period, he felt mistreated. He considered her as his responsibility but she... She seemed not to respect their relationship. She didn't even care about giving him a chance. So why would he accept their engagement alone? Wouldn't he look pathetic?

"Don't address me as her fiancé." He said rather curtly.

Mishila blinked in confusion. However she dismissed it by thinking that it was just a couple's conflict.

"What do I need to do for you, your highness?" This time, she became wary and asked politely, intending to change the topic.

"The flower on your head... Can you give it to me?" Heidith asked hesitantly. "It's precious to my mother. She is pregnant at a late age. She's thirty four now. So I want to erase her pain while giving birth." He explained his reason patiently.

Mishila touched the flower on her head, before gently removing it. Her thoughts wandered as she glanced at it.

That flower was originally given to Nishella by their father as a parting gift. He never showed his affectionate side to them. So such a deed was rare. However, Nishella angrily threw away that flower. Mishila naturally took a liking to it and placed it on her head.

Although she also didn't like her father, she knew that the flower wasn't at fault.

Nucifera was a beautiful flower. It would remain fresh for at least a week after being plucked. Its fragrance was also soothing. Nucifera had two species. Red and white. She was holding a red Nucifera with her. Red one was the most beautiful. The petals were large and soft to touch. Somebody had described its petals as the wings of a Maroonne dragon. Maroonne dragons were the most prideful and attractive dragons in the world.

Heidith knitted his eyebrows as he listened to her story. He no longer liked the flower in her hands. It was a guilty present from someone for ruining his own daughter's life. That flower disgusted him.

"Do you know where to find Nuciferas?" He asked with a sigh.

Derek was stupefied. "Haven't we already got one? Why do you still ask for another one? This flower sure is NOT worthy to be treasured." Plus, he was hella worn-out. He wanted to go back.

Heidith agreed. "Yep. That's why I no longer need it."

Derek's mouth twitched. 'Oh, fuck me!'

He meant it wasn't worthy for Mishila to treasure it. Not them! Nevermind, he wouldn't bother to talk anymore.

Mishila thought about Heidith's question and answered, "Actually I do know a place. There's a village at the end of the forest. They usually grow Nuciferas in their gardens. We can ask them for some."

Heidith's eyes lit up. "Wow, then let's go immediately," He urged.

Mishila shook her head. "It won't do. Although they are poor, they don't give Nuciferas to outsiders. It's a national treasure that belongs to our country."

Heidith's lips curved into a smile. "I know what to do."

His eyes fell on the wolves' skin.

All of a sudden, Suzamine had bad blood in his heart.

Why did he feel like... He was about to lose something?
