In the Boundless ocean Darkwood Clan is a huge powerhouse controlling it's vast territory with power and it's business accumen. In all the empires surrounding the boundless ocean Darkwood Clan maintains a monopoly in the Lumber business. Their wood is used to build the Emperor Class ships and as a building material of the towers of Archmages. The demand is so high that it is said Darkwood's wood is worth it's weight in Diamond Coins (For Example let's say a piece of wood weighs 10 tons which is 10,000Kilograms then it's minimum price is 10,000 Diamond Coins). The Darkwood Territory's Million Islands are known for it's huge Marine Culture and these Islands form a natural maze which you can't exit without help from the Darkwood Clan members. Sitting in the centre of the Million Islands Group is the Merlin Island the crown jewel of the Darkwood Territory and the place where the head of the Darkwood clan resides. The Darkwood Headquarters/ Clan Head Residency lies on huge plateau at an elevation of 10 KM from the sea level. This Plateau is called the clear cut plateau as it is said that when the progenitor of the Darkwood Clan arrived here there is only a huge mountain which was cut down to todays plateau by the progenitor during the fight for the ownership of this Island. 

Merlin Island is maintained by the 1st Child of the Clan Head of the Darkwood Clan. A single man covering the whole Island the size of 10Million Square Kilometres tells you much about the prowess of the Darkwood Clan. If you just see the Merlin Island from the coast you will just see the Sea of Trees Planted in a Rhythmic Manner which look like a huge pillars into the clouds. There will not even be a single tree which you can see that is not straight. These tress are the grown for their wood for building battleships and Historical Buildings. This wood is called Artificial Wood in the Darkwood Clan as it is made to grow straight by using different methods. The Main wood which is called Prime Wood by the Darkwood Clan only grows in the 100 Square Kilometres around the Clear Cut Plateau. This wood is grown naturally and no man is allowed to interfere with the growth of these Prime trees unless they are an Archmage or the Woodcutter. 

Prime Trees have different properties based on the type of Environment they grow in and the type of fertilizer used. The Environment is maintained by the woodcutter otherwise known as the 1st child of the clan head of the Darkwood Clan and Fertilizer is made and used on the trees only by the Archmage. It takes 5000 Days for Artificial Trees on the edge of Merlin Island to grow to it's commercial size whereas it takes 500,000 Days for the Prime Trees to even considered to be eligible to chop. 

Artificial Trees otherwise known as Prized wood on the market of the Darkwood Clan located on the Stellar Island which is on the outer perimeter of the Million Island Group. It is also called as Diamond Wood because of it's reputation. The Artificial Wood is said to be so straight that the Darkwood Clan made special carrier's to transfer these wood which are so huge that you can not see the end of the carriers. Darkwood clan sells the Artificial Wood from a single tree as a single piece, Each Piece is auctioned off and it's starting price is 500.000 Diamond Coins or 5 Crystal Coins. 

Prime Wood of the Darkwood Clan is so rare that even the regular people who buy at least a 100 pieces of Artificial Wood in the Stellar Island don't know that it exists. Once a Prime tree is cut the Emperors and Saint Mages from all around the Boundless Ocean arrive in the Clear Cut Plateau to request the Clan Head for the Prime Wood. As it is said this is used to make the handles of the Great Swords and Great Staffs used by Emperors and Saint Mages. A Saint Mage with the Prime Staff is equal to the 10 Saint Mages with the Top line of Staff's built without the Prime wood. Such is the prowess of Prime wood. Such is the power of the Darkwood Clan.

One more use of the Prime wood is as a building material of the Mage Towers of the World Mages who are said to be so elusive that they won't make appearance unless it is the end of the world that they are responsible for. For one to become a World Mage they need to be approved by world consciousness and is bound to the world. They are most powerful beings in that world and they are the last defense of that world. 

In the Darkwood Clan these are secrets which are handed only to the Head of the Clan. In those secrets it is written that the present World Mage of the Apis World The World Mage, Sir Meruem Swiftborn known for his Wind Magic was a good friend of Arthur L. Darkwood the Grandfather of the present Clan Head of the Darkwood Clan Alan L. Darkwood and also that Arthur has gifted Sir Meruem 20 x 5 Million Days old Prime Trees grown in the backyard of the Clan Head Residency to build his mage tower when he received the approval from the world consciousness.

While Merlin Island maybe known for it's wood, it is not the only Island with considerable prestige in Million Islands Group, there are hundreds of Islands in this Island group which are basically the Largest Islands in each Region of the Million Islands Group. There are around 144 Regions in Million Islands Group excluding the Merlin Island in which each region is divided according to it's speciality. Most of the Islands in the region also has wood business but these wood business is not taken care by the Darkwood Clan, instead by the local families which control the Island or a particular region. These subsidiary families are protected by Darkwood Clan, in turn the families make sure to protect the local people and environment. In the Apis World the wood from Million Islands has good demand as the Million Islands sit in boundless ocean which is known for it's Dangerous Sea Creatures and harsh environment. The waves in the boundless ocean are so rough that even the ships made from obsidian iron can't withstand the waves as the waves carry the lot of huge stones and debris from bottom of ocean because of the underwater ocean currents from all over the world surface in the boundless ocean. Because the trees from Million Islands has strongly adapted to this unique environment the wood from these trees is very malleable and strong and has a great lifetime.

While some local families are in charge of the Islands in Million Islands group some important islands are directly managed by Darkwood Clan like Administrative Island of Turin Island, Business Island of Stellar Island, Wind Island where ore with wind attribute is mined, Whale Island where huge varieties of whales migrate to in breeding time, etc., Other than these Islands there are some deserted Islands where the gates to different worlds are built by Darkwood Clan which makes the whole Island have a similar environment to the World to which the gate connects as the World Particles from that world migrate to Apis world and similar to the other world from Apis world thus forming unique zones called Buffer Zones which produce unique products. Darkwood Clan builds barracks in these buffer zones for defending the gate from the Enemies from the Apis world and also from the other world. These barracks provide the soldiers who has gone through Blood & Sweat to the Darkwood Clan thus keeping it's mighty force in a razor sharp condition.

Apis world is very huge. it is said that even the world mage would not know the size of this world. As the world mage is only being used by world consciousness and not the other way around. The world mage of course knows details of all the Empires built on the Apis world as for a kingdom to be upgraded to an Empire the King needs approval from World Mage and mainly the World Consciousness, as world mage is the bridge between the rest of world and World Consiousness. So some places which might have mighty warriors, arcane wizards might not be known, this is why the people or races in the Apis world maintain a humble attitude because they will never know when they can come across a powerhouse who can wipe out their whole lineage with a swipe of his finger.

The creatures in the world are also very huge as it is known that A shark does not overgrow it's aquarium. Similarly the creatures in this world has freedom and opportunity. According to the secret records of the Clan Head of Darkwood Clan the mountain which is present clear cut plateau is previously being occupied by 4 creatures before the Progenitor of Darkwood clan came. He fought the 4 beasts and during this fight only he has cut the mountain in half and lead to the formation of present day clear cut plateau. There are Large Birds circling the skies which are known to fly for 100,000 days without landing. There are beasts which are just the size of an ant and killed the behemoths the size of mountains. There are huge inanimate objects which came to life to protect whatever is praying it. There are also creatures which created the underground empires without any light from the surface. There are celestial creatures which fell to the Apis world and created a place to survive and prosper. There are creatures which prey on the natural disasters and live on the clouds. There are creatures which take flight into space to eat the passing celestial creatures. There are creatures that jump in between the worlds and leave behind a clue for different worlds. There are creatures that wield the powers unimaginable.

The universally recognised currency among all the worlds are coins. Basic currency are coins which are made by coin minters a profession which is a sub-profession of Blacksmith & Mage. In the Apis world, Boundless ocean and surrounding regions 1 coin will be enough for a normal civilian for a day. 100,000 coins = 1 copper coin, in this world there are no notes if you have 100,000 coins then if you take it to currency exchange or directly to coin minters they will trade them to 1 copper coin. A initial mage apprentice can convert them to copper coins and also produce coins if he is a coin minter. Similarly 100,000 copper coins = 1 Silver coin needs the power of 1 perfect mage apprentice
