I was in a huge and fancy-looking bed when I woke up. The pillows were too soft and comfortable, and the blanket was made of velvet materials that were probably fit to be used by a king. The room made me look like I was a king and rich, but I was not.
But what was bothering me was how I got here. The last thing I remember was coming out of my house, bringing my basket and dog with me.
I remember picking herbs in the mountains and my dog Koppo kept on barking. Ah, yes, I remembered being bitten many times by a snake which was not normally found in my place.
When I heard the loud hissing of the snake in front of me, I tried to run but it was too late.
I died that day. I know I was. But then, how did I end up here? Shouldn't I be in heaven now? I checked my whole body and saw it was unchanged. I didn't even have wrinkled skin or snakebite. Wait, What!?? I know I'm old but why do I have a young man's skin?
That's weird, right?
Usually, when you are bitten by a venomous snake, you don't change, right? But in my situation, I felt like I had changed! What's going on?
I got out of bed and saw myself in a full-length mirror which made my eyes widen. I am indeed inside a young man's body! How did that happen? Am I reincarnated? Do such things exist? But why am I in pink pajamas!?
What the hell? Why am I wearing this clothing, and why should it be Pink!? I'm a guy! It should be at least red, blue, or any manly color!
Pissed, I looked around, trying to find some spare clothes but to no avail; I didn't find any but a pair of pink slippers.
Seriously? What the hell is wrong in this place? Defeated, I was forced to wear slippers and go on with the pink stuff.
I left the room I was sleeping in and saw a long narrow hall. I walked through the hall and continued to look around.
Who could afford something like this place? This place looked extremely flashy and expensive. I bet the owner must be a king or some type of ruler.
"Hello!!!" I shouted in the hall.
I waited for a response, but I didn't receive any.
"Hello? Is there anyone here?" I shouted again, making my voice echo all through the hall.
Nothing. I was replied back with a plain silence. Am I alone here? I'm not sure if I was the only one here. This place was huge just to be me.
After a few minutes in the halls and stairs, I found myself in what looked like a living room. It was a spacious living room that I thought my whole apartment would fit in there. But what bothered me was that the things in the living room looked ancient to me. I had seen so many medieval things in books and museums, and what I was looking at here was the same as what I saw there. Even if they looked old, I know they would be expensive if you sold them to any antique store.
Where exactly am I?
Suddenly, I heard a loud roar coming from outside.
What the hell was that? I rushed outside to see what was going on. When I got outside, I couldn't believe my eyes.
I was no longer on Earth because what I saw was something my old world couldn't have.
"A dragon?!" I shouted due to the fascination that I was witnessing as creatures only in fantasy stories can be seen.
Yes! That's a dragon! A real and alive dragon!!
It was huge, and had green scales, and I saw it breathing fire out of its mouth. It was flying around the place I was in a circular motion.
I can't believe it. I actually see a real-life dragon. Wait, if I'm seeing a dragon, then doesn't that mean I was sent here? Was it due to the truck? Analyzing my situation, I must have been sent into this world. That's awesome!
I started to get excited, but that soon faded when the dragon spotted me. It soon flew to where I was, and I started to run back to the house, but the dragon, a few feet away from the ground, breathed fire and blocked my path. I then turned around and ran towards a bridge up ahead.
It was stupid, but my other paths were blocked by the fire again, and if I didn't want to die, it was either the bridge or going down that cliff that surrounded the house. I chose something that might save me.
Once I was on the bridge, I deeply regretted taking it because of my fear of heights. When I was on the bridge, the first thing I did was look down and see a raging river going downstream.
I didn't know what was going to kill me first, the dragon or the fall. I'd rather not do either because they both sound pretty painful. I was getting to the other side, but the dragon flew down and landed in front of the bridge, and my only shot was to safety. Well, looks like I'm going to be burnt to a crisp.
"Could you at least burn me to where I don't feel anything?" I asked the dragon, not really expecting a reply.
"And why would I do that? Watching you humans suffer is what makes me enjoy this."
I blinked. It actually talked!? I wish I could geek out that fact, but I'm too busy trying not to get killed. And since it can talk, I could keep it talking until I find a way out of this.
"W-why do you like watching humans suffer?"
It wasn't much, but maybe he'll go into a full monologue on his reason. I'll be crossing my fingers to hope it happens.
