Chapter 74 - The Strange Man(Part 2)

Yehan and Xiao Ya, after surveying the area, find themselves indecisive because all the houses on display for sale are huge mansions, not the small courtyards they had in mind.

Xiao Ya is indifferent to these houses, but Yehan seems to have a hard time making a choice. Yehan, who has never been extravagant, even though he now possesses astonishing wealth, has never considered buying a mansion.

"Brother, are you looking to buy a house?" the sibling pair, observing Yehan and Xiao Ya, approaches them. The brother, taking the lead, asks this. Yehan turns and looks at them coldly.

"Haha, brother, don't misunderstand, I didn't mean anything by it. My name is Lans, and my sister and I are also looking to buy a house. But these houses are too big. It's a bit of a waste for just two people to live in them," Lans says, without any shyness. The masked girl, now identified as his sister, steps forward and nods slightly to Yehan and Xiao Ya.

"Why?" Yehan, a bit puzzled, looks at them. The man named Lans is an eighth-level warrior, while the girl's strength is even lower, only sixth level. Yehan's vigilance relaxes slightly.

"Hehe, I see brother is different from them," Lans says with a laugh. He glances at Xiao Ya beside Yehan, but his gaze is devoid of any particular emotion. This slightly lowers Yehan's guard.

"What's different?" Yehan's voice is no longer cold, but still without a trace of laughter.

"Killing intent," the masked girl, Xueli, softly says. This statement sends a shiver through Yehan, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. He had used a technique to conceal his murderous aura, and yet someone could still detect it.

"Ah, look at me, I've been talking to you and forgot to introduce her. This is my sister, Xueli," Lans says, pointing to the masked girl, looking expectantly at Yehan and Xiao Ya, clearly hoping for an introduction in return.

"Blood," Yehan replies simply with a single word, but both siblings do not believe it's his real name. However, they do not mind. To them, it's already good enough that these two strangers gave them a name.

"I am called Zhiniya," Xiao Ya says, sneaking a glance at Yehan. Seeing no objection from him, she continues, "You can call me Xiao Ya. That's what Brother Blood and Grandpa call me." Being the first person not disliked by Brother Yehan, Xiao Ya is obviously pleased. Having never had friends before, she feels close to the two.

"Little Sister Xiao Ya, why do you..." Xueli, with her bright, expressive eyes, looks at Xiao Ya, a bit puzzled.

"Xiao Ya doesn't like to cultivate," Yehan quickly answers, genuinely afraid that the simple Xiao Ya might reveal information about the "Apocalypse Prison Land." Yehan is well aware of its value, being a nascent Half-Life Realm.

Lans and Xueli exchange a glance but say nothing more. "Then, Brother Blood, what about this house?" Lans points to the house, the meaning clear.

"That's fine." After this, the four of them focus their attention back on the house descriptions. Finally, they decide to buy a mansion on the west side of Miayat City. Lans and Xueli seem embarrassed, unable to afford the full price. Yehan, indifferent to money, simply pays with his amethyst card. After getting the certificate, they walk outside.

"Is it that man in the black robe?" Just as Yehan and the others walk out, a group of people in the distance set their sights on them. A magician among them asks a sixth-level swordsman.

"Yes, it is."

"Are you sure?" the magician asks again.

"Absolutely, I recognize his silhouette," the swordsman says, trembling a bit. He then quickly takes a bag of gold coins from the magician and disappears.

"Follow them," the magician says darkly, and more than a dozen people hurry after Yehan and the others. This commotion naturally attracts the attention of other forces, who start to follow from a distance. From all directions, they begin to converge on Yehan and his group.

Yehan quickly realizes something is wrong. The number of civilians is dwindling, and more powerful people are appearing. Large groups of armed men are approaching from both ends of the street. Yehan gl

ances at Lans and Xueli, then shakes his head.

"Did you kill my young master?" a cold, accusatory voice comes from behind. Simultaneously, over a dozen people of eighth level or higher surround Yehan and his group.

"Your young master?" Yehan asks in a low voice. He has killed countless people, including many young masters and guards, and of course, cannot remember each one.

"This morning, in an eastern city tavern," the accuser says.

"I killed only a dog that was in my way," Yehan says as the magician begins to describe the time and place. He recalls the morning's incident based on the aura of fighting spirit the group is emitting.

"Then you shall die."

"With just you?" Yehan says contemptuously.

"Hmph, arrogant."

"Hehe, brother, why not talk this out? Why resort to violence?" Lans says with a smile to the magician behind him.

"The seventh prince of the Yanlong Empire killed him, and you talk of reason? Dream on," the accuser retorts.

"Courting death," Yehan says calmly, observing the dozen or so people preparing magic and releasing fighting spirit. "Xiao Ya, close your eyes. Protect her for me," he says to Lans, then with a flicker of movement, charges at the lead magician.

"Me?" Lans begins to say something but seeing Yehan already in action, stands protectively by Xiao Ya and his sister, enveloping them in his fighting spirit.

Ever since that forbidden spell incident, Yehan's strategy in every battle has been to kill the magicians first, never giving them the chance to cast high-level magic.

There's no fancy attack or unnecessary defensive move, just straightforward aggression. Yehan's speed is so fast it's a blur to everyone's eyes. Screams and sounds of breaking bones fill the ears of all present.

Limbs and blood fly everywhere. In just a couple of breaths, all nine magicians surrounding Yehan are dead, killed by his ruthless methods.

Not a single body is left intact. Limbs, split heads, and flesh scatter everywhere. A circle around Yehan and his group is drenched in the blood of the nine magicians.

"Ugh," some of the onlookers, including civilians and idle swordsmen, unable to stomach the brutal scene, begin to vomit.

Other forces' representatives also frown deeply. It seems they are also not comfortable with the sight but refrain from vomiting to save face. Seeing such a scene, some immediately recall a similar incident in the Hengduan Mountains just a few days ago, almost identical except for the fresh blood.

"What do you think, Latiz?" Dolores asks the swordsman from the guild beside him.

"It looks similar, but..." Latiz says uncertainly, eyes fixed on Yehan.

"I'm eighty percent sure," Dolores slowly says, listing similarities like the black robe, extreme speed, ruthless methods, and bloodthirstiness. "But his displayed strength doesn't match."

As Dolores finishes speaking, he and Latiz look at each other. "He's hiding his true strength," they say simultaneously, a hint of frenzy in their eyes.

"I never go easy when killing dogs," Yehan's cold, contemptuous words echo in everyone's minds.

"Hell's unceasingly burning demon fire, I summon thee in my name," the lead magician begins to chant a spell, but suddenly stops.

"Pfft," a mouthful of fresh blood sprays from the magician's mouth, the backlash of the magic causing him serious injury and leaving him somewhat dazed.

"A magician without a swordsman's protection is useless before me," Yehan says, twisting his hand around the magician's neck. "Crack," a crisp sound, followed by an attack from swordsmen behind him. Yehan throws the dead magician's body, intercepting the five incoming attacks.

The powerful blast of fighting spirit instantly disintegrates the magician's body. Everything happens in an instant. No one expected Yehan's speed to be so fast. Latiz and Dolores are also shocked by his speed. They knew Yehan was fast, but not to this extent. The nine magicians and the lead magician were all killed in just a few dozen breaths, and Yehan still seems at ease.

Surprised as they are, the frenzy in their eyes only intensifies. Only by defeating a strong opponent can they prove their worth, a sentiment shared by every strong warrior.

Yehan doesn't want to waste more time on these few. Today's battle has already exposed his identity, so he no longer hides. He reveals his long sword and charges at the remaining five swordsmen.

Grey sword light, with a chilling wind, flutters Yehan's black robe. Each clash of sword and blade resounds with explosive noise, the wild energy forcing those with weaker abilities

forces several steps back, leaving only a few standing still. These are the young powerhouses of various major forces, a fact not lost on Yehan.

In the midst of combat, Yehan suddenly retreats from the battle circle, stomping on the ground fiercely. His robe flutters, and his white hair, like winter snow, billows in the wind. With a shake of his arms, his sword trembles, and five sword blossoms instantly appear in the void. In an instant, five sword energies emerge from nowhere, shooting towards the five swordsmen.

"Clang!" Long swords shatter, their fragments propelled in all directions by the powerful sword energy. The sword energy, unstoppable, instantly pierces through its targets.

Shock, unparalleled shock. In less than a quarter of an hour, Yehan single-handedly and flawlessly kills fifteen people from the Yanlong Empire. His powerful abilities and the stunning final move deeply engrave his name in everyone's minds.

Despite their surprise, the frenzy in the eyes of the observers grows even more intense. Defeating a strong opponent is the only way to prove one's worth, a belief held by every true warrior.

Yehan does not wish to waste more time on these few people. Today's battle has already revealed his identity, so he no longer conceals himself. He brings out his long sword and with a series of whistling sounds, charges at the remaining five swordsmen.

Grey sword light, carrying a chilling wind, makes Yehan's black robe rustle. Each clash of swords and blades creates an explosive sound. The wild energy forces those with lower abilities to step back several paces, leaving only a few standing still. These are the young powerhouses of various major forces, a sight Yehan notices.

During the fight, Yehan suddenly exits the battle circle, stomps on the ground, and his robe flies up. His long white hair flutters in the wind. His arms tremble, and his sword vibrates, creating five sword blossoms in the void. In an instant, five sword energies emerge and shoot towards the five swordsmen.

"Clang!" The long blades shatter, their fragments propelled in all directions by the powerful sword energy. The sword energy, unstoppable, instantly pierces its targets.

The scene leaves everyone in awe. In just under fifteen minutes, Yehan single-handedly and flawlessly kills fifteen members of the Yanlong Empire. His powerful strength and the stunning final move deeply engrave his name in everyone's minds.
