Chapter 61 - The Game Begins(part 3)

"Ha ha ha ha," Ye Han's wild laughter broke the silence of the Hengduan Mountains as he looked at the expressions on the faces of the eleven people in the field.

Facing death, those with weak hearts filled with fear. Their souls trembled, their blood boiled, and such blood was the most delicious for zombies. The stronger the negative emotions in the blood, the more the zombies relished it.

Ye Han moved back and forth in front of the dozen people with a speed that left solid afterimages behind him.

"Is this the evil spirit of hell?" a timid swordsman asked in fear, his legs shaking violently, his sword hand sweating.

"No, it's just the manifestation of speed," said the strongest swordsman, whose heart was much steadier than the others. Although filled with fear, his expression remained firm. He knew that if he panicked, they would all die even faster.

As time ticked away, the high tension made everyone feel weak from their souls.

"Ah, you Shura, come out!" Finally, someone could no longer suppress the fear in their heart, burst out of the circle, wildly swinging their weapon and running into the forest.

"Come back!" a ninth-level swordsman roared, but it was too late; the person's mental strength had nearly collapsed, losing all reason.

Screams of agony came from the forest, intensifying the fear of the others.

"Thump," a dark figure suddenly shot out from the forest, landing heavily in front of the remaining ten people. They recognized the clothes as those of the man who had just run out, but now there was a fist-sized hole in his chest. His body was shriveled like a drained water bag, his white bones visible through his skin.

His body was covered in deep wounds, some even with broken bones sticking out. His head was split open, with white and red fluids flowing over his shriveled skull, his eyes bulging. His limbs were bent at unnatural angles.

The most chilling sight was the two dark holes beneath the shriveled skull.

"He's a devil, a Shura from hell," some muttered, their eyes unfocused, their aura flickering. Clearly, they too were reaching their mental limits.

"Ah!" Suddenly, a powerful aura burst forth from several bodies. Ye Han was surprised to find that under the assault on their mental strength, they had broken through the barriers of the eighth and ninth levels, entering the ranks of the ninth-level forces, but they were still insane.

"Ha ha, he's a Shura, I'm an evil spirit," they bellowed madly. The ninth-level warrior released his aura without reservation, charging into the depths of the forest.

"Thump, thump," in moments, several more shadows shot out from the forest, as shriveled as the first, bloodless.

Now, only four magicians and two swordsmen were left alive, looking at each other in despair, their eyes bloodshot, their mental strength nearly spent.

"My lord, a massive energy fluctuation has appeared twenty miles to the north," reported a ninth-level light magician from the Holy See encampment in the south to the Holy Child Cisedo.

"I've noticed it too. There were originally thirty-two auras there, but now only six remain, and one is moving rapidly," an elder said.

"Let's go, rush there immediately, and ask the steward to go ahead, we will follow soon," Cisedo ordered, and more than forty members of the Holy See rushed north, while the saint-level powerhouses disappeared into the forest even faster.

The other factions also noticed the commotion to the north and hurried in that direction, their saint-level powerhouses disappearing into the forest immediately.

"He he he, have you noticed? But," Ye Han, moving at high speed, was the first to sense several strong auras converging in his direction, from front, back, left, and right, with thousands of weaker auras also rapidly approaching.

"Your reinforcements have arrived," Ye Han's voice echoed in the souls of the six, giving them a momentary surge of spirit.

"Hold on a little longer, saint-level powerhouses are coming. Just survive a few more moments, and we will be saved," the ninth-level swordsman sensed the powerful auras approaching.

"Pray they make it in time to save you," Ye Han said before wasting no more time and charging at them.

"The sunlight is pervasive."

"The dance of the flame fan."

Attacks came one after another, aura and magic crazily smashing at Ye Han, but to no avail against his speed.

There were no fancy moves, no probing, every strike meant to take a life. Hearts were pierced, necks sucked, blood reversed its flow, bodies shriveled. Death approached step by step.

In their desperation to survive, they attacked madly. As one died, the remaining five became even more frantic Their attacks, filled with desperation and fear, become more frenzied with each fallen comrade. Limbs were severed, hearts shattered, bodies desiccated—one after the other.

In just the span of three breaths, the six combatants were reduced to three, each still frantically fighting for their lives amidst roars of fear that filled the air.

Blood, dismembered limbs, and white fluids were strewn about, illuminated by the moonlight, contributing to an atmosphere that was nothing short of hellish.

As Ye Han prepared to strike down the last three, a furious roar came from the distant clouds, "Boy, you dare?"

The roar shook heaven and earth, a powerful force washing over them. "Ha ha, do you think I dare?" Ye Han's laughter echoed as he moved with full speed, his afterimages still laughing, reaching the three in an instant.

He wasn't bold enough to confront a saint-level powerhouse directly, but Ye Han sensed that the nearest one was still ten miles away. Even with their speed, it would take five breaths to reach him—enough time for him.

No longer avoiding their attacks, he faced them head-on. Ye Han knew that time was life. A zombie's pride would not allow for retreat; to declare an intent to kill was to follow through without exception.

The powerful aura struck Ye Han hard, his clothes instantly shattered by the energy, but he didn't pause. His gray hands moved swiftly, two white fangs gleaming under the moonlight fully revealed.

With a roar, the magician's blood flowed from his fangs into Ye Han's body, turning him into a dried corpse.

With another roar, his hands tore the desiccated corpse apart.

"I will have your death," the powerful presence grew closer, a thunderous roar echoing through the Hengduan Mountains.

Ignoring the warning from his own saint-level powerhouse, Ye Han brutally killed another in less than a breath's time, a great shame in his life.

"Ha ha," with his long hair flowing and fangs reflecting the moonlight, Ye Han, surrounded by blood, looked just like the evil spirit from hell, a Shura from the abyss of darkness.

The killing continued, the pressure from afar crushing the ground, all trees within a hundred yards shattered under the force.

"No one can stop my slaughter; this is my killing spree. Gods block, kill gods. Demons block, exterminate demons," Ye Han, under the immense pressure, increased his speed again, killing two more.

Blood splattered, bones and flesh scattered, under the moonlight, more than twenty dark shadows grew larger.

"Ha ha, you can't stop my killing. You can't," Ye Han's space began to warp as he laughed at the twenty-plus saint-level powerhouses rushing towards him.

A powerful energy seemed to tear through space, attacking the spot where Ye Han stood.

"The game has just begun,"

With a "boom," Ye Han's arrogant voice and the explosion echoed through heaven and earth. The twenty-plus saint-level powerhouses finally arrived, but there was no trace of Ye Han left. The energy had destroyed everything within a hundred yards, exposing rocks five yards below the soil.

"I will kill him," the saint-level powerhouse who had attacked roared in anger.

Suddenly, an even stronger force struck, the saint-level powerhouse spat out blood and was sent flying.

"You've broken the rules, just a small punishment. If there's a next time, you and your Holy See," the implication was clear.

"He's right, the game is only for equals to play."
