Chapter 1 - Prologue

The cold floor pressed against my cheek, waking me from my dream of endless slumber. I sighed softly sitting up, before wiping the moisture at the corner of my lips where I was drooling, then I scanned my surroundings.

It was more like a bare, abandoned prison, rather than the chambers of a goddess it was. A large gray stone floor spread out seemingly endlessly, the only thing of note being the large, pink sheet covered bed, and the woman sitting upon it.

From where I was sitting, the first thing I saw were her feet, wrapped tightly in those black, almost see through stockings that even brought arousal to me, who wasn't a really big feet guy. Then my eyes traveled along her long pale shapely legs, to her narrow waist, and then her not exactly wide, but still shapely hips. Then to her modest chest, and finally to her face. Long golden blonde hair flowed a long her back, like a river, reaching the pink sheets, and covering one of her eyes, the one showing was an alluring pink.

I made sure my eyes had slowly ran along her body, to more properly taste the sight, and to make sure she knew where I was looking.

I put on my best smile, and stood up. "Greetings, Lady Evelyn, how are you?" I asked calmly, making sure my eyes avoided her pointy elf ears. Perhaps a few hundred years ago, I would've blushed at the sight of the gorgeous woman, or stuttered while talking to her, but after meeting her countless times, she seemed to have lost her ability to make me flustered. Though, she wasn't any less appealing.

Her lips curled into a grin, and she extended her hand, opon which I kissed the back of, softly, gently. "Greetings, Hero," She said, her voice soft and gentle. If she was bored of me, which I suspected she was, she hid it perfectly. "Congratulations, on completing your mission of saving the world of Teer Fradee." She hummed.

I leaned back, and smiled. " Hmm... Is that the two hundredth world I've saved, or my four hundredth?" I asked, my voice laced with sarcasm, and the slightest bit of teasing.

"It's your one hundred and twelfth world, hero. A noble achievemen. Your name is being told in stories to the children of the worlds you've saved, as well as your glorious journeys," She smiled, my sarcasm either lost upon her, or maybe she just didn't care. Probably the latter. "you're who heroes all around the multiverse aspire to be, noble hero." She added, still smiling.

I bit my lip to the stop the 'bitch' from escaping my lips, and kept my smile. I would've took a seat, but the 'bitch' still hadn't added anything for me to sit upon despite my countless requests.

"It's all thanks to you, my goddess." Bitch. I said with my most charming smile, before showing her a sorrowful expression. "However, I have a request." Everything, my years of effort, have all contributed for this moment.

She raised an eyebrow, pink eyed observing me with curiosity, and amusement. "I believe your contributions... Warrant a reward. You may ask." Yes.

I swallowed the lump in my throat, and my nervousness, and spoke. "My goddess, would it be possible for me to choose the next world I save? And, would you lift some of the restrictions on what I can do in this world?" There, I'd said it. "Think of it as a... Vacation, for me."

With eyebrows furrowed in thought, she quietly considered my offer for a few moments. "Hmm... I can talk with some of my siblings, and see if I can arrange it."

My lips curled into a grin unbecoming of my hero status, and I bowed low. "Your generosity is truly boundless, my goddess."

And like this, my afterlife had finally started to get fun.
