FLASHBACK:
Ever wake up to a rogue motivational speech blaring from a rogue Bluetooth speaker? Yeah, that was Yuki's rude awakening this morning. But the sizzling bacon aroma quickly chased away the sleep and got her stomach rumbling. "Ugh, seriously, Mom?" she mumbled, flipping a perfectly golden piece of bacon.
Yuki, a whiz in the kitchen, whipped up a breakfast fit for royalty. But today, even delicious food couldn't tame her nervous butterflies. It was the day she'd find out her fate – school placement day! "Wish me luck, Mom!" she called out, already halfway to the door.
Fast forward to a shower later, and Yuki's at the admissions office, heart pounding like a drum solo. Scanning the hopeful faces, she searched for her name, a silent plea escaping her lips. Relief flooded her like a cool wave – she got in! Not just in, but into the coveted Class A! "Yes!" she pumped her fist, a wide grin splitting her face.
"Hey, you okay?" a friendly voice startled her. Yuki looked up to see a guy with a warm smile and kind eyes. "Oh, yeah, I'm great! Just got into Class A," she replied, still buzzing with excitement. "That's awesome! I'm Taiyo, by the way. And you are...?"
Excitement bubbling over, she fumbled with her phone, trying to video-call her mom. "Hold on a sec," she said to Taiyo. "Gotta share the good news with Mom!" The call connected, and Yuki's face lit up. "Mom! Guess what? I got into Class A!"
"That's incredible, sweetheart!" her mom's voice boomed through the phone. "Let me see the bulletin board!" But clumsy fingers fumbled, and the camera caught her face instead. "Mom! Mom! Look!" Yuki babbled, only to hear her mother's bewildered reply, "All I see is your lovely face, little girl!" A sheepish "LOL" later, the rear camera finally revealed the good news, prompting cheers and congratulations from Mom.
That call sent her skipping across the school grounds, feeling lighter than air. New friends, new beginnings – what could be better?
But hold on, things take a turn. As Yuki explores the bustling halls, she meets a group of students, including a girl named Kitsune who strangely resembles Taiyo. "Hey there, you must be the new girl in Class A, right?" Kitsune said, flashing a friendly smile that mirrored Taiyo's.
They hit it off, and the conversation flowed easily. Yuki learned that Kitsune was Taiyo's sister. "No way!" Yuki exclaimed, surprised by the resemblance. "We could be mistaken for sisters ourselves!" Kitsune giggled. "Maybe we were separated at birth!"
But just as quickly, the joy curdles. Out of nowhere, Kitsune made a shockingly inappropriate gesture towards Yuki's "OPPAI", leaving her mortified and stunned. Taiyo witnessed his sister's behavior and froze in a mix of shame and anger. "Kitsune! What was that?!" he hissed, his voice tight with fury.
As Yuki fled, tears welling up in her eyes, a hush fell over everyone. The once-joyous day now felt tainted. What happened to the promising friendship? Can Yuki find allies in this new environment? And what secrets lie beneath Kitsune's friendly facade?
The next chapter will unveil the tangled web of relationships and secrets hidden within these school walls. Stay tuned!
