" Nick, would you still love me after all that i told you" Julie asked as she stared straight into his eyes.
" I feel inlove with you without even considering anything apart from you. I know that its too early to say this but I don't think I will be able to be with añother woman other than you" Nick said while their gaze was locked in each others before the two started to kiss.
After what seems like a few minutes to the couple, Nick decided to take Julie back to rest. When they got to her apartment, Nick assured her again and told her that his father was very friendly.
In one of the rooms of a five star hotel.
" Baby, something came up in China so I have to leave with the earliest flight tomorrow morning." Wang Ye said as he pulled her closer to him.
" So soon?" Magret asked with a sad expression.
" Yes, Xiao Man has already returned to China but I also have to be there" He added.
"Okay then" said Magret.
" I know you don't want me to leave but you don't have to pretend that its alright. Don't worry whenever there is a chance, I will come and visit you here" Wang Ye said as he stroked her cheeks.
That night the couple didn't sleep as they took delight in having themselves. The next day, the couple went to the airport together and after bidding a reluctant goodbye to each other, Magret returned to the apartment.
" You don't look well, did something happen or did you two have a fight" Julie asked when she noticed Magret's mood.
" No we didn't have a fight" Magret answered.
" Then what happened, why are you like this" Julie questioned again.
" Something came up so he took a flight back to China this morning. I haven't spent a good time with him yet and he had to go back" Magret said as she pouted.
" That's so sad but don't worry I think he will make time to come see you again.Dont be sad anymore alright. Am pretty sure that he wouldn't want to see you this sad because of him right?" Julie commented and Magret nodded.
" So how did the conversation between the two of you go last night ?" Magret asked now with a better mood.
" It was all good. Nick assured me that his father is very friendly and as long as he doesn't care about this things, his father wouldn't also care about it" Julie replied.
" Then thats good. I already chose your outfit for today so don't worry about that okay" Magret said with a smile.
" As long I have you by my side I will never feel lonely or worried" Julie said as she hugged her only sister and friend.
That night, Julie wore a formal Wear. A black pencil skirt and a strapless white inner with her black teuxido on top of her shoulders. She also carried a small purse. She let her hair fall on her shoulders and also did a light make up.
" He's here so am moving out now" Julie said as she wore her heels.
" You look so beautiful my dear. Remember not to be nervous just try and be yourself" Magret remarked.
" Okay thanks I will bear that in mind" julie said as she opened the door and went out.
" Wow you look more like the milky way today. You are always beautiful and it increase everyday" Nick said as soon as Julie came to sight.
" Those were my lines. by the way, my boyfriend never fails to amaze me with his beauty.I sometimes wonder if I'm still on earth because my boyfriend is such an angle" Julie also praised him with a sweet smile.
The two sat in the car and drove off to Mr David's house. In about an hour long drive they finally got to the house. It was a huge house with many flowers planted in it.
Julie suddenly became very nervous as they entered the house. Nick noticed it and so he held her hands to reduce her tension.
" Hello Dad" " Hello Mr David" both Nick and Julie said at the same time. At this time, Nick's Father was sitting in the living room with a newspaper in his hands.
" Welcome, you may both take a seat" Mr David said with a Stern voice which made Julie more nervous.
" Dad, this is my girlfriend Julie" Nick said to his father.
" Hello Sir am Julie Mathews and am Nicks girlfriend" said Julie with a nervous smile.
" Hello, how long have you known my son" Mr David asked with a voice which made Nick also nervous.
" I first met Nick at an art conference eight months ago" Julie answered firmly.
" I see. Then when did you guys get together?" Nicks father asked again.
" About three weeks ago" Said Julie.
" three weeks ago, Nick did you just bring anyone to me so that I won't arrange any blind date for you right" Said Mr David.
" A blind date?" Julie asked as she turned to look at Nick's face.
" it's not what you think Julie. Dad will you stop doing this?" Nick said as he tried to clarify every thing to Julie.
" Didn't I give you a month at that time?, You also brought a woman after a month" Mr David added.
" Julie hear me out, Although my father said that to me, I actually admired you since the first time I met you at the art conference. I wanted to get to know you better that's why I decided to invest in the gallery. I truly meant it when I told you that I love you" Nick said as he held Julie's hand.
" I trust you" Julie said as she looked him in the eye. This was all that Mr David wanted to see. He wanted to see if their affection for each other was true.
" Nick go to the study room and bring me a box from my drawer" Mr David said to his son who hesitated before going to the study room.
" My dear you don't need to be nervous. I just wanted to confirm your relationship that's why I behaved like that earlier. Forgive me if i made you uncomfortable.
" It's okay Mr David" Julie said with a smile as she realised Mr David's intension which made her nervous self disappear.
