The port was spacious, that much was obvious at first glance. Large ships moved along over the calm and blue waters. Many sat anchored by the numerous docks that stretched out from the stone shore, taking or bringing passengers and goods.
The smell of the sea filled our noses, and Zeal found it particularly interesting. We walked by a quiet part of the cobbled street that stretched around most of the harbor. It was a good place to watch most of the port as it allowed us a wide view.
I found it amazing to see that the large ships did not require a thousand paddles to make it move. The ships needed none. Instead, every ship had large sails draped over tall pillars of wood that stood in the middle of the decks. The sails made use of the wind, either natural or magical.
