The Golden Spears arrived riding on flying spears instead of the shields I had expected. Nor were they led by a sword. In fact, I was wrong about my initial assessment. Though I used my enhanced senses, I had refrained from looking too closely, and made assumptions.
Now that I was proven wrong, I realized those assumptions would have been fatal or disastrous in other circumstances.
I should be careful.
It was quite the sight to see a formation of flying spears shining with golden light approaching from the sky at speeds faster than sound itself towards us.
Much to my surprise, the spear that led their formation landed softly on the ashen ground in front of me, laying down flat. Its wielder, whom I assumed was this Lisa Silvarina, stood on the long handle of the spear with arms crossed.
A frown was plastered on her face.
