I smiled. I couldn't help it. I smiled like a fool after winning a bet. And yet it was a proud and prideful form.
It happened so fast that a mundane eye wouldn't have been able to see it. It was a beautiful dance, one that concluded with a climactic end that made even the corners of the frowning Yaluk to twitch upward.
The abomination was desperate, sloppy, and lacked the coordination it initially had when it fought me. In spite of this, it was still powerful.
But it was not invincible. Frank, my greatest sentinel, met his foe with nothing but his very best.
The abomination came at him with a move. A move that swept against the legs with ease and speed. A move that brought down the might of corruption through the remaining claws of the abomination. A move that, if Frank was any lesser than he was, it would have killed him.
