As smoke rose and choked the sky, with fires raging all around, the leader of the vampires withdrew the dome of protection that had ensured their lives after the rain of fire.
Excluding the vampire I had just sliced in two, there were at least seven more waiting to be killed. Unfortunately for myself, these vampires did not want to die.
Three of them immediately conjured blood spikes and threw them at me. The spikes zipped through the air and slammed against my barrier, shattering into a thousand pieces as they did.
Sparing no time, the three vampires immediately rushed towards me as soon as they launched the spikes. They were upon me a few seconds after the spikes shattered, swinging and thrusting with their blood swords.
I swung and swung quickly, faster than their eyes could follow. The first vampire found his head separated from his body while another felt his lower half separate from the rest of himself.
