Chapter 16 - So much mysteries! Help!

In the aftermath of my victory over the dragon, Eto, who had been engrossed in his reading, acknowledged my progress. Clapping, he commended, "Well done, Lord Tatsuya. You have improved a lot, but still need self-awareness and the ability to sense danger." Grinning at the acknowledgment, I replied, "Thanks. And yeah, I will improve on that, jeje."

As Eto teleported us back home, I ventured outside my city, seeking knowledge about Skill Points (SP) from Daiki. In my mind, Daiki explained, "SP, or Skill Points, are used to add a multiplier to a stat of your choice. Let's say you select STR, it would be [2x]. If you put another SP on it, it would become [3x] for that stat." Enthused by this newfound information, I marveled at the possibilities.

Glancing towards the trees, I sensed a surge in mana and spotted Noir returning from her hunt. Greeting her joyfully, I playfully punched her head, exclaiming, "DON'T EVER LEAVE MY SIDE WITHOUT PERMISSION! I WAS SCARED FOR YOUR SAFETY; I THOUGHT SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED TO YOU!" Laughter ensued between Noir and me as we strolled back to the village.

During our walk, I shared the developments in the village with Noir, witnessing her genuine joy. Today marked the day to send resources to the other village as part of our agreement. As I prepared to pack the resources, I requested Eto to accompany me for teleportation.

However, Eto proposed, "I think it's time for you to learn to teleport." Resistant due to my lack of knowledge, I pleaded, "But I've got no clue how to do it! Please, Eto, just teleport me!" Unyielding, Eto urged, "Enough of being lazy. Get ready to learn. Do you remember the small mana you left at the village?" Confirming, I replied, "Yeah, I can sense it since it's my mana."

Eto instructed, "Focus on it. Make it liquid. Then imagine yourself as liquid. Materialize yourself in the mana you've left. That's the easiest way to put it." Despite my attempts, I struggled with the concept. Relenting after persistent pleas, Eto finally agreed to teleport us.

Arriving at the other village, Kaiyo welcomed us with a warm greeting. After delivering the resources, I took a stroll through the village, acknowledging Kaiyo's commendable efforts in transforming the once-poor settlement.

In the aftermath of witnessing Kaiyo's village, I couldn't help but be impressed by the remarkable transformation he had achieved despite the financial challenges. The atmosphere was tense with both relief and anticipation as I approached Kaiyo, a bag of 400 gold coins in hand. "Kaiyo, here is a reward for doing such an outstanding job," I declared, presenting him with the bag. His eyes widened with surprise and gratitude as he accepted the unexpected reward, tears welling up. "Thank you so much, Tatsuya! This is going to help so much. I'm so glad for your help!" he exclaimed, overwhelmed with emotion. In response, I conveyed, "It's all thanks to your hard work, Kaiyo. Stand proud."

The joyous moment, however, was abruptly shattered. As Eto and I prepared to teleport away, an explosion rocked Kaiyo's village, leaving devastation in its wake. Eto instinctively shielded us, and we hovered over the scene of chaos. The once-thriving village now lay in ruins, with bodies scattered amidst the destruction. A sinister laughter echoed in the distance, and an unmistakable aura of malevolence hung in the air.

Fury ignited within me as I confronted the malevolent figure responsible for this heinous act. My aura surged, expanding like a violent storm, causing even Eto, a seasoned entity, to shiver at the display of overwhelming power. I instantly appeared infront of the figure. Slowly, I questioned the figure, "Did you do this?" He replied, "What if I d-" Before he could finish, my fist connected with his face, unleashing a shockwave that reverberated through the air. The force of the impact sent the figure hurtling, crashing into a mountain and triggering a colossal explosion.

As the figure lay on the ground, his fear palpable, Eto loomed over him, determined to extract critical information. "You really messed up by making my Lord mad," Eto declared coldly. "I will spare you and give you a swift death so you won't suffer from my Lord's wrath. But answer me one thing. Who sent you?"

Desperation gripped the figure's eyes as he revealed, "The kingdom of Misao. Please let me esc—" Before he could finish his plea, Eto acted decisively, swiftly ending the figure's life with a clean slash of his blade. The head rolled on the ground, and an eerie silence settled over the once tumultuous scene, marked only by the smoldering remains of Kaiyo's village.

With the immediate threat neutralized, I turned to Eto, my expression a mix of anger and determination. "Misao," I muttered, my mind already formulating a plan. "We can't let them get away with this. They'll pay for what they've done." As Eto and I prepared to leave, the weight of the destruction hung heavy in the air, fueling a resolve to bring justice to those who had dared to destroy what Kaiyo had built.

"I will kill them, I will kill them. I WILL KILL THEM!"

As Eto and I hovered in the air, prepared to teleport to my village, a sudden notification disrupted the tranquility.

I began to fall, succumbing to unconsciousness, but Eto swiftly intervened, grabbing me and teleporting us to the village. Carrying me in his arms, Eto placed me gently on my bed, covering me with a blanket. Before leaving, he muttered, "It may be the time, Lord? Or would it still be too early? Only one way to find out." With those enigmatic words, he departed.

After three days, I awoke, dressed quickly, and rushed outside to search for Eto. However, he was nowhere to be found. Shifting to Eto's perspective, we find him high above the Kingdom of Misao, pointing his palm towards the kingdom. Sensing a presence behind him, he turned to confront Luna, a green-haired girl with captivating purple eyes, stars as pupils. Seated invisibly, she wore revealing clothes, exuding an aura of sarcasm and evil intentions.

Eto, defiant and resolute, questioned Luna's motives. In response, he launched a powerful kick, only for Luna to effortlessly block it with her aura pressure, causing shockwaves to ripple through the air. Frustration etched on his face, Eto declared, "I WOULD NEVER BE SOMEONE LIKE YOU, LUNA! I'M DOING THIS BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I WOULD NEVER BE SOMEONE LIKE YOU!" The air vibrated with unresolved tension as Luna's sinister smile hinted at the impending chaos.

Luna's laughter echoed through the air as she taunted, "What would my most loyal servant be doing all alone hovering above a kingdom, maybe to help them? OR TO DESTROY IT!!!!" Her uncontrollable laughter reverberated, adding an unsettling tone to the scene. Eto, undeterred, questioned her motives, "What do you want, Luna-sama?"

In a super sarcastic tone, Luna responded, "Nothing really, I just sensed your mana burning with anger, so I decided to show up and see what was going on." Eto, clearly expressing his disdain, retorted, "You know I hate you, why come to me now."

Undeterred, Luna stood up from her invisible chair and walked on air towards Eto. She reached out and touched his face, taunting, "What type of Mother wouldn't visit their Son. Heh? Answer me. Eto Tratarossa Luna." Eto, repulsed, pushed Luna's hand away, declaring, "I don't want to be called your son. You disgust me."

Ignoring Eto's feelings, Luna laughed and assured him, "Don't worry, son. I won't be such a bad mother and let you have to do something you hate." With a sinister gesture, Luna pointed a single finger toward the Kingdom. A green energy sphere appeared in her fingertips, launching forward to the Kingdom. A massive green sphere, adorned with black and white strides, enveloped the entire Kingdom of Misao. As the sphere dissipated, the kingdom vanished, leaving nothing but a colossal hole in the earth.

Luna, indifferent to the destruction, casually announced, "Anyways, son, I will be taking my leave now. I love you." Eto, frustrated and infuriated, teleported away. Luna, with an evil smile, slowly faded away, leaving a lingering sense of foreboding in her wake.

Eto then appeared in front of me, sweating and breathing heavily. He stammered, "I am sorry, Lord Tatsuya. I'M SO SORRY!" He looked at me with a scared face, seeking forgiveness.

I was also scared and confused.
