Hey there, my name is Kaiser and this is my story. You are probably wondering how I got in this situation. Well let me take you back to when it all started.

4 YEARS BACK

Today is a tiring day. These are the days just after the summer break, so nobody really wants to study. The teachers know it aswell, and they too seem bored. Our homeroom teacher, Sawada Sensei is the only one who keeps the classes alive and interesting and she's the only reason why I even decide to go to school at all.

I am Kaiser and I am 16 years old. I have a few friends at school and I am average. In my parent's eyes, I'm a great student but that's just not true, I'm bang average to the point that everything about me is average.

Everything- that is apart from my gaming skills.

Yes I'm a gamer and yes, I'm a pro at gaming(although that doesn't help me pull bitches so...yeah). Well I'm going to login to the game now and you'll all see it for yourselves.

I put on my headphones, switched on the game box and got ready. I clicked on FMAB(the name of the game) and pressed on the START button. A moment of drama followed and I was back in my game land.

I'm back, I'm back at my home, not my real world house but my game home. The house I bought with gold coins(game currency) is on the 3rd phase which is highest phase available right now. Only about 300 people have cleared Phase 3 as of yet and I'm one of them. I stepped outside of my house and stared hard at the ground. All I wanted was for Phase 4 to release as soon as possible because I wanted to be the first person to reach Phase 4.

"Hey Kaiser, what are you doing here?", said someone, clearly interrupting my thoughts.

I looked around and saw Meri, one of my friends from the game world.

Just saying that Meri is pretty would be a huge understatement. Meri is prettier and cuter than any other girl I've ever seen. She's like one of God's angels that stepped into Earth. Add to that her brilliant gaming skills and she's the perfect girl for someone like me.

"Hey Meri, I just logged in for a moment here, what's up?"

"Ooh, care to go for a walk?, It's been so long since we chatted together."

"Sure", I replied and we both started to walk towards Piazon Park, the place where we met first.

On our way, we chatted about a lot of things, like our real lives, the recent game update, our stats and also how both of us were eagerly waiting for Phase 4 to release.

"I'm going to be the first person to enter Phase 4, this time it's gonna be Meri The Champion", she said, almost proud of herself already.

"Well, you're going to have a hard time achieving that, because I'm not gonna be watching you", I replied and smiled.

"You bet" was her reply and we both started giggling for no particular reason at all.

We chatted a little more about daily stuff until it was time for both of us to logout.

I went to Settings and clicked on Log Out and shut my eyes, waiting for the change to happen. But nothing happened, I clicked on the log out button multiple times but it just wouldn't work.

I looked at Meri and she understood what I meant, "It isn't working for me either", she replied with nervousness in her eyes. She was scared and I could feel it already.

"The game is probably just getting a minor update, they will probably fix it in a minute or two."

As soon as these words left my mouth, I received a GAME ALERT in my inbox. Judging from the look on Meri's face, she had received one aswell.

I nodded at her, signalling that we should read the message and then I clicked on the game alert.

Dear Survivors,

The game server has been locked by the game creators and the link between the real world and the game world has been destroyed. This is also the reason for the Log Out button being removed.

However, this change is not permanent as there is still a way for you to return to the real world. All the players who manage to reach Phase 20 will automatically be sent to the real world.

To be able to compete in Phase 4 and above, all players need to be a part of guild as the challenges will be Guild based. A guild should have atleast 5 members.

As soon as I finished reading my message, Meri broke down and started crying. I went over and comforted her, but in all honesty, I was scared myself. I was scared right now and I was unsure if I was ever going to make it to Phase 20.

Since the link between the real world and the game world had been broken, no one from the real world could come in to save us and neither were we, the players, capable of doing anything. Apart from the game developers, no one can fix this issue and so all we could do was follow the game's instructions.

All of a sudden, Meri stood up, gathering courage she said,"Kaiser, you and me, we are going to start a guild right now."
