Chapter 6 - Merlin Grailborne.

Sera's gaze shifted from Grey to Elsinia.

"Although your identity has been confirmed, that doesn't exempt her from questioning.."

She pointed at Elsinia.

The elven girl in question adjusted her glasses.

"And what exactly calls for that?" there was little to no respect in Elsiniaʼs words.

Sera, maintaining her composure, replied, "Shouldn't you be in class?"

Elsinia, with a tone of defiance, shot back, "I don't see how that's any of your business."

Sera took a step forward, her expression now shifting from seriousness to anger. "It is my business because I am the student council president," she retorted sharply.

Elsinia smirked and muttered under her breath, "Student council president, my ass."

Sera's eyebrows furrowed, her anger overtaking her seriousness.

She walked closer, moving past Grey, and positioned herself directly in front of Elsinia.

With one hand extended, she summoned a purple glass magic orb.

The 『Ego-Lumin』.

It gave off a somber purple glow.

She warned Elsinia sternly, "If you don't behave yourself, I'll be forced to cut you down to size."

Elsinia locked eyes with Seraʼs. She scoffed and countered, "I'd like to see you try."

Grey, feeling the tension escalate, sighed and placed a hand on Sera's shoulder.

He interjected, "That's enough of that."

Elsinia, ready to unleash her pent-up fury, almost snapped at the sight of Grey's touch.

'How can he casually touch her on her shoulder?! I should be the only one he touches like that!'

She gritted her teeth like iron sharpening iron.

However, she paused as Grey continued speaking.

He told Sera, "Penalizing her for trying to help me isn't necessary."

Sera's reaction was immediate – she slapped Grey's hand off her shoulder.

"Don't touch me so casually," she said, irritated.

Elsinia, witnessing the way Sera dismissed Grey's touch, felt her anger reach new heights. She couldn't help but shout, "This bitch!"

Before Elsinia could do anything else, though, Grey held her hand tightly, his touch calming her instantly. She let out a contented moan.

Elsiniaʼs mind was blissful at the time.

'Hand-holding... Ahnnnnn~~'

Grey looked at Sera.

"There's no need for us to resort to violence," he said firmly.

Sera raised an eyebrow, her tone slightly mocking. "No, I'm not so common that I'd behave like an animal and resort to violence," she retorted, superiority pushed her words. "I simply want to discipline this troublemaker."

But Elsinia, lost in her own world, was still lost in the euphoria of holding hands with Grey.

Her mind drifted from their conversation, her focus wavering.

The conversation continued without her.

Adrian sensed some tension between Sera and Grey, finally spoke up.

"I believe there's a simple solution to all this," he said.

His voice was as calm and soothing as his smile.

Sera turned to Adrian, her eyes searching for answers. "And what would that be?" she asked.

Adrian's smile widened ever so slightly as he explained his plan. "All we need to do is let Elsinia go about her day and attend her classes," he stated matter-of-factly. "In the meantime, we can handle Grey's admission to the academy."

Sera's magic orb dissipated into a cloud of purple dust.

It signified that she'd accepted Adrian's proposal.

"While I'm not entirely comfortable with the idea, I'll allow it just this once," she murmured.

There was a melodic, porsh and yet firm tone in her voice.

Turning her gaze towards Grey, Sera directed her next words towards him.

"We'll take charge of escorting you to the headmistress, while Elsinia can return to her classes."

Her tone was authoritative and her order, "absolute".

There was no room for arguments.

Grey let go of Elsinia's hand, his fingers slipping into his pockets.

Elsinia's enchantment was broken, and her mind snapped back to reality, her cheeks flushing red.

'It's over already, shit...'

She hadn't gotten enough of his touch.

"Thatʼs a good proposal but," Grey smirked. "I'd rather go with Elsinia than with you."

His words causing Elsinia's heart to leap with joy.

Sera's eyes narrowed and her voice hardened. "And why is that?" she challenged; her tone was bold as usual.

Grey met Sera's gaze with a condescending smile. "Because I don't like either of you," he replied coolly.

Elsinia, who stood silently behind Grey, felt complete and utter excitement building within her. With her fingers swiftly moving, she calculated the possibilities.

'My beloved just said he doesn't like either of them, which also means he likes me more than them. Multiply that with the fact that he wants me to show him the way to the headmistressʼ office, it means he's totally in love with me... absolutely, completely, obsessively, helplessly in love with me.'

A grin was carved onto her face.

"Yes!" Elsinia bit her lip, almost not daring to breathe.

Sera however, wasn't willing to listen to whatever Grey had to say.

"Whether you like it or not, we'll be the ones taking over from here."

Grey's eyes narrowed, a defiant smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"And like I said before, I don't give a damn..."

Sera's nostrils flared, her temper simmering just beneath the surface.

She was about to lash out with a sharp retort, but Adrian gracefully stepped forward, his gentle smile unwavering.

"Please, Grey, cooperate for the sake of Elsinia," Adrian requested, his voice honeyed and soothing.

Grey glanced at Adrian. He stared at him with suspicion. "Is that a threat?" he asked.

Adrian's smile only grew sweeter as he replied, "You're free to interpret it however you wish."

Grey's eyes narrowed further.

After a moment's silence, he shrugged dismissively and chuckled a bit. "Whatever," he muttered. "A threat would be child's play to me."

Turning his attention back to Elsinia, Grey's voice softened. "Hey, Elsinia," he called out.

Elsinia's heart skipped a beat at the sound of her name on Grey's lips.

"Yes, my beloved Grey?" she responded staring at him like he was some sort of deity.

"Thanks for all your help," Grey expressed his gratitude. "But I'll just go with them, it'll make things easier."

Of course, Elsinia would never accept this.

She pouted with her arms folded; her breasts pushed outwards as a result.

"No, I refuse to accept that. I don't mind getting into trouble, it's not like they can even do anything to me."

Grey gently shook his head.

He placed his hand gently on top of Elsinia's head.

"Hah, don't worry, I promise to see you again once everything is sorted out. After all, we're in the same school, aren't we?"

Elsinia's cheeks flushed a deep shade of crimson; her pointy ears were slightly red as well.

She averted her gaze, avoiding Grey's affectionate smile.

"Sure," she mumbled softly.

Then, she cleared her throat and gently broke from from Greyʼs head pat.

Her eyes narrowed, and she shot a brief glare at Sera.

Rolling her eyes in exasperation, she turned her attention back to Grey.

"I'll leave, but only because it was a request from my beloved."

In truth, Grey was still a little disturbed by how she called him that, but there was no point in addressing it.

...

Soon after,

Sera, Adrian, and Grey were waiting impatiently outside the door to the prestigious headmistress' office.

Sera rapped her knuckles against the door.

The sound echoed in the empty hallways.

Suddenly, the silence was broken by a soft meowing sound, catching everyone's attention.

"It's Sera Montgomery, the student council president! We've come to speak with the headmistress!"

It was as though she was talking to the door.

The grand doors creaked open, revealing the fancy interior of the headmistress' office.

Sitting regally behind a desk was a striking woman, her legs crossed and a small majestic white fox with golden eyes cradled in her lap. The headmistress exuded true sophistication, with her flowing white hair cascading down her back and crystal blue eyes that displayed calmness. She wore an impeccably tailored black and white suit that accentuated her hourglass figure. Despite her mature appearance, her smaller spectacles on the bridge of her nose softened her features, making her look ageless.

"So, this is the headmistress."

That was all Grey could say.

Sera and Adrian nodded in agreement, their gazes fixed on the woman.

The headmistress gently placed her fox on the desk before rising from her chair. She leaned forward, resting both hands on the polished wood, causing her curvy breasts to sway enticingly with her movement.

Her voice, like silk, rolled out of her mouth, "Greetings, Grey NewGate. I'm Professor Merlin Grailborne, the esteemed headmistress of this illustrious academy. It is truly a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Oh, cool." Grey flashed her a thumbs up.
