With a nod of agreement, Sico and his companions prepared to embark on their next mission, knowing that time was of the essence.

As Sico led Emogene to Jack and informed him of their success in finding her, Jack's relief was palpable.

Jack: "That's a relief to hear. I'm glad you're safe, Emogene."

Emogene's response, however, carried a hint of cynicism as she addressed her brother.

Emogene: "Yeah, well, now that you're back, I'll be expecting that vial you promised me."

Jack's expression softened, understanding the weight of his sister's words. He nodded solemnly, acknowledging his promise.

Jack: "Of course, Emogene. I'll give it to you later, you can mark my word."

With the tension momentarily eased, Sico and his companions wasted no time in preparing to depart for Parson State Insane Asylum. Time was of the essence, and they knew they needed to act quickly to aid Edward and his team in repelling the raiders' attack.

With a renewed sense of purpose, Sico, his companions, and Jack quickly left Cabot House. They wasted no time in heading towards the waiting Humvee parked outside, the urgency of their mission propelling them forward.

As they approached the vehicle, Jack joined them, his presence adding a sense of determination to their group. With everyone aboard, they set off towards Parson State Insane Asylum, the engine of the Humvee roaring as they sped through the night.

The atmosphere inside the vehicle was tense, each member of the group bracing themselves for the confrontation ahead. Jack's mind was consumed with thoughts of Edward and the safety of those under attack, while Sico and his companions focused on their plan to assist them.

As the Humvee raced towards Parson State Insane Asylum, Sico turned to Jack, his expression filled with curiosity and concern.

Sico: "Jack, what exactly is this vial or serum that Emogene mentioned? You said you'd tell us the truth."

Jack's gaze met Sico's, his expression solemn as he prepared to reveal the long-held secret.

Jack: "You deserve to know the truth. The vial is what keeps us from aging and allows us to live longer. But what you might not know is that it's derived from my father, Lorenzo Cabot's blood."

Sico and his companions exchanged stunned glances, the weight of Jack's revelation sinking in. The implications of such a discovery were profound, shedding new light on the Cabot family's extraordinary longevity.

Sico: "So, the asylum is where they keep your father?"

Jack's expression grew graver as he continued, the urgency in his voice mirroring the gravity of the situation.

Jack: "Yes, exactly. Edward and his men have been protecting my father and ensuring that he remains confined within the asylum. But now, with this sudden raiders' attack, I fear for his safety. We must reach there as quickly as possible. We cannot allow my father to fall into the wrong hands or escape from that place."

Sico furrowed his brow, absorbing the weight of Jack's words before speaking.

Sico: "Jack, I understand the urgency, but why was your father kept in the asylum in the first place?"

Jack's gaze shifted, his expression troubled as he prepared to divulge the family's dark history.

Jack: "It's a long and troubled story. Over a hundred years ago, my father, Lorenzo, led an excavation where he unearthed what some believed to be an ancient or even extraterrestrial artifact. He… experimented with it, placing it on his head, and it drove him to madness. He became a danger to himself and others, even resorting to violence. Our family's influence shielded him from facing legal repercussions, but to protect him and others, we made the difficult decision to confine him to the asylum."

Sico and his companions listened in somber silence, the gravity of the revelation sinking in. The Cabot family's legacy was fraught with tragedy, and the burden of protecting Lorenzo Cabot weighed heavily on their shoulders as they raced against time to reach Parson State Insane Asylum.

As they ventured deeper into the asylum, the scene that greeted them was one of carnage and chaos. The narrow corridors were littered with the bodies of Edward's men and the raiders, a grim testament to the fierce battle that had taken place.

Jack led the way, his expression grave as he navigated through the labyrinthine halls with a sense of purpose. Sico and his companions followed closely behind, their senses on high alert for any sign of danger.

The air was heavy with the stench of blood and gunpowder, the sound of distant gunfire serving as a constant reminder of the perilous situation they found themselves in. Every shadow seemed to conceal a potential threat, and they remained vigilant, knowing that the raiders could still be lurking around any corner.

As they pressed forward, their footsteps echoing ominously against the cold, sterile walls, they knew that time was of the essence. They had to find Edward and his team, and ensure that they were still holding out against the raiders' onslaught. Failure was not an option.

As they continued their grim march through the asylum, the corridors eventually led them to what appeared to be a park within the facility. However, their brief moment of respite was shattered when they spotted a group of raiders lurking among the twisted metal and debris.

Without hesitation, Sico and his companions sprang into action, weapons drawn as they prepared to confront the enemy. The raiders, sensing the imminent threat, raised their firearms, their expressions twisted with malice and bloodlust.

A fierce battle ensued as gunfire erupted in the enclosed space, echoing off the walls in deafening cacophony. Sico and his companions fought with determined ferocity, their training and experience guiding their every move as they engaged the raiders in a deadly dance of combat.

The air was thick with the smell of gun smoke and the metallic tang of blood as the two sides clashed, each refusing to yield an inch of ground. It was a brutal and relentless struggle, with neither side willing to back down.

Amidst the chaos, Jack fought alongside Sico and his companions, his determination matched only by his desire to protect his father and his allies.

After a moment of intense fighting, the last of the raiders fell under the relentless onslaught of Sico, Jack, and their companions. The echoes of gunfire gradually faded, replaced by the heavy panting of the exhausted combatants and the distant sounds of ongoing battle elsewhere in the asylum.

With the immediate threat neutralized, Sico and his companions took a moment to catch their breath, their adrenaline still coursing through their veins as they surveyed the aftermath of the skirmish. The park was now littered with the bodies of the fallen raiders, a grim testament to the violence that had unfolded within its confines.

Jack glanced around the scene, his expression grim as he took in the carnage. Despite the toll it had taken on them, there was no time to dwell on their victory. Edward and his men still needed their help, and they couldn't afford to waste a moment.

Sico: "We need to keep moving. Edward and his team are counting on us."

With renewed determination, Sico and his companions pressed on, their senses alert for any sign of their allies amidst the chaos of the asylum.

As they pushed forward, led by Jack, Sico and his companions encountered several more raiders along the way. Despite facing adversaries who were stronger and more formidable than the average raider, they fought with unwavering resolve, swiftly dispatching their foes as they pressed on towards their objective.

After navigating through the labyrinthine corridors, they finally arrived at a double door. With cautious anticipation, they pushed it open, revealing a room bathed in dim light. At the left on the wall stood an elevator, its doors slightly ajar, and a terminal resting on a nearby desk.

Their attention was drawn to the wounded figure slumped against the wall—Edward, his face etched with pain and exhaustion.

Sico rushed to Edward's side, concern etched on his features as he assessed the severity of his injuries.

Sico: "Edward, it's us. We're here to help."

Edward managed a weak nod, his voice strained as he spoke.

Edward: "Thank… thank goodness you're here. The raiders… they overwhelmed us… we need to… stop them."

Jack's brow furrowed with concern as he turned to Edward, his voice laced with urgency.

Jack: "Edward, what about my father, Lorenzo? Have the raiders reached him?"

Edward's expression darkened with worry as he struggled to respond.

Edward: "The raiders… they've already gone down to the basement through the elevator. They shut it down from there… I'm afraid they're after Lorenzo. How they got the information… I don't know."

Jack's heart sank at the news, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily upon him. Lorenzo's safety was now more precarious than ever, and they had to act swiftly to prevent the raiders from reaching him.

With a sense of urgency, Jack approached the terminal, his fingers flying over the keys as he attempted to bring the elevator back online. However, his efforts were met with frustration as the terminal displayed an error message indicating that the system had been shut down remotely.

Jack's frustration was evident as he slammed his fist against the desk in frustration, realizing that the raiders had anticipated their move and disabled the elevator from the main system.

Jack: "Damn it! They've shut it down from the main system. We won't be able to bring the elevator back online from here."

Sico stepped forward, his expression determined as he considered their next course of action.

Sico: "We'll have to find another way to reach the basement and stop them. There must be an alternate route."

With the realization sinking in that the elevator was no longer an option, Jack turned to his companions with a determined expression.

Jack: "There is another way, but it's longer. We'll have to take the old section of the asylum. It's our only option now."

Sico nodded in agreement, knowing they had little choice but to proceed with Jack's plan.

Sico: "Alright, let's go. But first, we need to tend to Edward's injuries. We can't leave him like this."

Sico moved to Edward's side, his demeanor calm and focused as he assessed the wounded man's condition.

Sico: "Hang in there, Edward. We'll do what we can for now."

After a few tense minutes, Sico successfully tended to Edward's injuries, ensuring that he was stable enough to proceed. With Edward's condition stabilized, they prepared to follow Jack to the old section of the asylum, their footsteps echoing softly in the dimly lit corridors.

As they began to make their way towards their destination, they heard Edward's voice from behind them, filled with concern and caution.

Edward: "Be careful, everyone. The old section of the asylum is full of the raiders. Watch your step and stay alert."

Sico and his companions nodded in acknowledgment, grateful for Edward's warning as they continued their journey into the depths of the asylum.

As they ventured deeper into the old section of the asylum, the atmosphere grew increasingly eerie, with shadows dancing ominously along the crumbling walls. Every creak of the floorboards and rustle of debris seemed to echo through the desolate corridors, heightening their sense of unease.

Jack led the way with determination, his gaze fixed ahead as he navigated through the labyrinthine passages. Sico and his companions followed closely behind, their senses on high alert for any sign of danger.

Suddenly, they heard the faint sound of footsteps echoing in the distance, accompanied by the low murmur of voices. Jack motioned for everyone to halt, his expression tense as he listened intently.

With Edward's warning ringing in their ears, they knew that they couldn't afford to let their guard down for a moment. So Sico and his companions with Jack braced themselves, weapons at the ready as they prepared to confront whatever lay ahead in the dark recesses of the asylum.
