Chereads / Lone Crusader / Chapter 6 - Next Day

Chapter 6 - Next Day

Three days had passed since Anna Rabel had become our friend, and the three of us had grown closer. As we walked towards our class, Anna suddenly barged in through the door.

"You can't just barge in like that," Kristoff smirked.

"Ah! I'm sorry," Anna apologized.

"Anyways, let's go to our class quickly," I said.

As we made our way to our sections, a voice from the neighboring X section called out, "Hey idiots, what are you slow pokes doing?"

"What's an idiot? Like you?" Kristoff replied.

"NANDATO!?" the voice exclaimed as a boy with brown hair grabbed my uniform collar.

"I think you're grabbing someone else," I told him.

"Stop, Gracie!" someone yelled from behind us. It was a guy with green hair, a noble-looking gay guy.

"What's wrong with these guys?" Kristoff whispered.

After some time, we finally parted ways and entered our classroom. The teacher arrived shortly after.

"Good morning class! Today, I will show you a technique used by the D+ class," the teacher announced.

"Cool! We can finally get to see the special mode used by higher ranks!" one of our classmates with blonde hair exclaimed.

Some of our classmates cheered and became excited. As we walked through the hallway, I noticed that there were 100-300 students in the other sections, while ours only had 35 students, with two arriving later.

Finally, we arrived at the training grounds. Each training schedule had a different assigned ground, and ours was the 11th training ground.

"Hi, Miss Elene!" an instructor yelled in the background.

"So, these small students shall be trained. Be my guests!" he said, shrugging.

We were told to sit in front and watch him.

"What's he going to do?" Anna whispered.

"I think he's going to put on a clown show," a dark-haired boy behind us replied.

"Who are you?" Anna asked.

"Me? I'm the future Superman named Kaisfol," he responded.

"Kaisfol? You're the 3rd student in seat," Kristoff said.

"Now, now, goldfishes, time to listen," the instructor said, putting on a stance.

"Release!" Suddenly, his body turned red, his veins bulging, and his muscles becoming bulkier.

As he turned around to face us, he said, "This is a special mode achieved through hard training. After killing a special creature, you can force it to submit and make a contract with its soul. This is what we call a mode."

Some girls screamed in fear as the macho guy transformed into a demon-like figure.

"Ah, a demonoid," a student with dark curly hair suggested.

"Ian, watch your manners," our silver-haired teacher scolded.

Our teacher, Elene, explained everything about modes. There were three types: Special Mode, where you kill special creatures and force them to submit; Friendly Mode, where you negotiate with the soul of a dead person who can't find a resting spot; and Transformation, where you exceed your body's limitations and tear it apart to become a new, stronger body.

Although we were given all this information, we still had to decide which mode to choose. Since it was a training weekend, there were no classes in the classroom. Kristoff, Anna, and I decided to train in the training ground, and others followed suit.

As the dawn approached, we decided to call it a day and head back to our dorms.

"Bye, guys! See you tomorrow," Anna bid us farewell as we went our separate ways. There were two sections of dorms, one for males and one for females.

Now that three days had passed, there was still so much more to learn in this academy. The adventure was just beginning, and the novel genre would be filled with excitement and discovery. The writing style would be free-flowing, and the language would be English.
