Drifted signs
"grhhhhhhhhh"
"Hey no growling!". A soldier beside the driver seat snapped Athena. She zipped quietly, crossed her arms while looking at the window instead of their ugly face.
Although, she never stopped to curse them in her head. She wished that she never dared to open that dang door.
She planned to make up an excuse letter and a script for drama act tomorrow to her teacher. For telling the truth may seem unbelievable to others on to what she is already experiencing.
Inside her, there is no fear that lingered her for the first time. She can even dug her back at the seat with no anxiousness.
Still, being stuck in the middle of black random soldiers and not being tied up like at the movies filled her mind of bewilderment. Asking herself where is she.
If she ask them, their guns are the answer and that idea stepped her back to stay shut.
As buildings passed by, they seem a bit dark even if the sun just rised. The place is rather dull and as streets, they're plain but not quiet. Every single structure has a black and grey color composition. The people around had a face of not having proper sleep for a month.
Those observation left her more question and her guts told her she had seen this or maybe it's just from an imagination
"Azrail, the president wants to talk to you" the soldier who snapped her before said and gave the phone.
"For the 10th time I'm Athena!" She confirmed and snatched the phone almost pulling him out of his seat. He didn't talk back but his glare swore a thousand words.
Except Athena that usually stood quiet at the dark corner. Now had a feeling to talk back. Even though too many words swarmed behind his mind of how to crush that guys pride.
Her inner self only ranted.
"Their literally driving me crazy.
First I don't get why I'm where?
Second I don't know where am I?
Third who the h*ll are these guys?!!"
Mentioning those will not escape to the expression she had shown. She didn't notice that the guy at her left watched her every move closely. He saw how Athena gritted her teeth. His patience meter are already off hook at the beginning of capturing her now it already exploded.
Athena bit her lip while her brows are at the air. She can sense that her neck touched a cold sharp object, a dagger to be precise.
"If I were a bird traped in a dark cage, I'd prefer to never let out a single sound". The guy threatened her with a deep voice that can shiver your bones and prefer to obey his orders.
Her forehead dropped a sweat with hands shaking as it laid on her lap. Her palms forms water at every finger tips and avoided eye contact to him. Despite the fact that he is looking intensely at her.
He may not get a car sick but definitely sick of people, that pertains to Athena.
Even so his voice troubled her, she heard it before. In that she woke her observation skills and their costumes were familiar for her.
She squinted her eyes as she scanned the guy at her left. A quick silver hair and raven-coal eyes having his stern demeanor.
Even her own name. She is not mistaken. Her mind ached on constant squeezing and forcing to confirm her strong instinct.
She started to talk to herself, in her inner thoughts.
"Come to think of it Azrail sounds a cool name. It's like a death symbolism and a killer personality. Like a Mafia! Wait...." Her face lit up and confronted them with flaming persistence.
"Hey, what's my name again?"
"Azrail" all of them sneered.
"Do I have light blonde hair?"
They nodded with puzzled faces.
"It's straight?"
Same response
"Is my eyes pinkish ?"
Their response never changed but some tilted their heads.
Athena went back to her seat, dumbfounded. Her spirit was injected with dreadful doom. Now she know who she had become, the MC's sister.
Azrail is not an antagonist yet not a supporting character either. With that idea had drawn into one conclusion, she's just an extra.
Once an extra you have one destiny, be useless or be killed; and Azrail beholds both title.
After that she hypothesized.....
"Mafia's Assassination?!!!!!!!" She cluelessly panicked as she jumped from her seat. Her whole world just stopped it's rotation for a moment
She wished to shriek, jump in the air, or just want to slap someone. Though not out of anger nor fear but due to a certain idea. With that her smile reached to her two rosy pink eyes then whooped.
"This is all awesomeeeeeeeee!!!!!!"
Then a sudden hit of reality interfered along being hit literally at a hard surface. Azrail hadn't thought that she was the cause of the sudden drift.
Her shout interrupted the peaceful steering into an oversteered turn of the driver's wheel. That caused the rear tires to lose traction, but the driver tried to maintain control over the car to avoid collision to trees or post that might end their lives.
Due to that, irate glares should be fixed as they turn their heads to Azrail but instead several blinks took part as they gaped at her.
Azrail expects an eyes that is somehow deep who plan to drown you anytime. A wolf pack ready to charge someone. On the contrary, it didn't.
"Does anyone taught you personal space?" He asked sarcastically. A voice coming from Lieutenant Kylo once he recognized him, finally.
Azrail can't deny being agitated towards Lt. Kylo for he is in no good terms with Azrail. Only to the Mc, Nyx. She even planned to kill her as she sees her as a burden on Nyx's life. Trading his moral to kill Azrail and also to obey the president's order.
She howled with no fright "What the h*ll are you saying....".
Then her whole confidence shattered. She realized that all this time she bumped not in a part of a car. An inch away to a black cloth with gold buttons imprinted with skull and medallions at the corner. All along she bumped at a body part, it's a chest.
Her reflexes turned on and she pushed him away robustly that he was hit at the car window. Even so, Azrail's image is her top priority and chose to sit straight with a chin up presumably nothing embarrassing happened between them. Thus, the truth of her cheek heated up like an engine.
"Akward~" a soldier intoned which broke the silence.
*Ringgggg *ringggggg
Also this too broke the silence.
Even if Azrail had a clue that the president will only discuss about the Mafia's assassination or her death trap. Hesitation, didn't let it stop her.
The confusion of rare occurrence in a person's life to be somehow reincarnated will not be stuck at Azrail's head, it must be answered. She must drown her fear side and let out her lioness to survive.
