Theodore talked to the two alphas seriously about what they should and should not do in any case they encounter life-threatening problems before he left them with the reason that he had other plans to attend to.
Lucian was more than happy to guide him out.
After seeing that his father was finally out of sight, he went back inside with a loud shut of the door. He leaned on it, sighing in relief.
"For some reason, that scared me," he murmured with his eyes closed, breathing in all the air that he could.
Eugene laughed. "Why? Are you ashamed of me?"
"Rather than be ashamed of you, I'm afraid he would have me banned from seeing you. That would've been torture."
"Aw, that's so sweet of you, Lucian," Eugene sent Lucian with flying kisses, his pinkish lips protruding cutely. "Anyway, it's not like all fathers are against homosexuality. Who knows, maybe he'll approve of us?" Eugene sipped on his tea with the calmness of a true gentleman.
"Yeah, I wish." Lucian rolled his eyes at him, settling himself on Eugene's lap to feel the older man's warmth. "You look good in sweaters. I like it," he commented with a grin. His hands caressed the soft wool before playfully dragging down the part that covered his neck. "But you look better when you wear nothing on."
Eugene laughed out loud at Lucian's harmless seduction. He pushed the man's hand away from his neck to cover the hickeys again. "Ridiculous!" He pinched the bronze-skinned alpha's soft cheek with his slender fingers, loving the way his hand would easily sink into the mushy skin. "You're so soft despite looking all fierce. Adorable," he murmured, followed by a stronger pinch on Lucian's cheek.
"Stop!" Lucian groaned in pain at the man who was currently squishing his cheek. "I'm not a stress ball."
"Stress ball?" Eugene looked at him in confusion. "What's that?"
Lucian bit his lower lip. Oops, his tongue slipped.
To avoid talking about it, Lucian cleverly changed the subject by pressing his plump lips on Eugene's thin ones. He even playfully licked the man's lower lip in between their kisses. What seemed to be a harmless kiss turned into a fiery one.
Lucian's back arched in a beautiful curve as Eugene chased and dominated his sweet lips. The taste of tea lingered in Eugene's mouth, and that taste gradually shifted into Lucian's tongue and lips.
"You taste like tea, Eugene," Lucian whispered, laughing in between their hot kisses.
"Hmm.." Eugene simply hummed as he continued to nibble and suck on Lucian's lips. The young man on top of him was the most delicious food he had ever tasted. Better than teas.
Lucian had to suffer another few minutes of his lips being ravaged. He was starting to think that Eugene did that on purpose. It was probably his way of retaliating against the hickeys Lucian left on his body last night. He's not complaining about the kisses anyway.
When Eugene finally let him go, although his lips were incredibly red and swollen, Lucian hopped off Eugene's lap with a huff. He then picked up the empty cups to bring them to the sink.
"Casually cleaning up the place after a steamy kiss? That's new," Eugene said, leaning on the kitchen's doorway, an amused smile on his handsome face.
Lucian raised an eyebrow at him. "What do you expect? Should I lie down on the couch and wait for my legs to stop shaking? I'm not an omega, sir," he quipped back with a mocking grin.
Eugene's eyes split into crescents as his chuckle echoed through the kitchen. "That's actually why I think it's an advantage to date you. Your stamina is great."
"Stop talking about sex early in the morning, Eugene," Lucian uttered in a dead tone. This side of Eugene always had Lucian walking on eggshells. He'll never know whether Eugene was just joking or if he was actually serious.
"Hey, it was not me who initiated a kiss with someone in the middle of a typical chit-chat, you know." Eugene crossed his arms over his chest as he tilted his head at Lucian. "So what's a stress ball?"
Lucian groaned in disbelief. The man still remembered that? What was the purpose of kissing him, then?
"Was it like, a ball filled with all of your stress or...?"
Lucian looked at him with an 'are-you-serious' look. "Don't talk anymore. Don't guess about it too. Just don't." Victorian men who are curious about modern things will never fail to entertain Lucian. He almost burst out laughing at the blonde alpha's hypothesis. That was so ridiculous!
Eugene felt insulted after receiving the look Lucian gave him. "What? Am I not correct?"
"Far from correct, actually."
"Then just tell me about it."
Lucian sighed as he leaned on the sink. "It's hard to explain."
Eugene simply tilted his head at him, prompting Lucian to get to the point.
"You won't understand, but okay... It's sort of, like a ball."
"Yes? And then?" Eugene attentively listened to Lucian's words with bright eyes. He even walked closer to the man just so he could hear him clearly. Eugene admits. The thing about that 'stress ball' certainly sparked his curiosity.
Lucian opened his arms to welcome Eugene's hug. When Eugene was finally settled comfortably in his arms, Lucian continued, "And then you squeeze that ball to release some stress."
"Wouldn't it hurt? Balls are usually made of rubber, no?" Eugene looked up at him with furrowed eyebrows, his lips pouting in cofusion. "That's weird."
Lucian laughed softly. "Well, it's often made of a special rubber, which makes it soft and squishy. It feels good to squeeze it."
"Like your cheeks?" Eugene beamed at him.
"That's... not what I mean, Eugene," Lucian grimaced.
"Where can I buy a stress ball then?" Eugene inquired with squinted eyes. "I want to have it."
"That's the problem. You can't."
"Why?"
Lucian pursed his lips in thought. "Because no one has created it yet."
"Then how did you know about it?"
Lucian stared at Eugene to gauge his reaction first before he spoke. "That's why I told you it was complicated to explain. Just take it as food for thought."
Eugene's gaze deepened as he looked at the man's face. He only hummed in response before setting his head on Lucian's shoulder. "Maybe you can start creating and manufacturing stress balls," he murmured quietly.
"You're really taking my businessman persona to heart, aren't you?" Lucian chuckled, securing his arms tightly around Eugene's lower back. "As of now, I couldn't handle another business. Two is my limit. I'm still an inexperienced entrepreneur."
"You're trying to be humble," Eugene pointed out with a sharp, accusing stare. There wasn't any part of Lucian that made him appear inexperienced! He was a shrewd businessman through and through!
"I am humble." Lucian raised an eyebrow at him.
"In which part?"
The bronze-skinned alpha burst out laughing at Eugene's mocking quip. "You're a hater."
"There's no fun in just loving you. It should be laced with hate sometimes. You know, balance," Eugene cleverly replied with a smirk.
Lucian cupped the man's face before gently brushing their noses together. "Alright, sir. Should I thank you for hating me then?"
"Of course, you had to be grateful."
Eugene suddenly giggled as the younger man planted kisses on his chin and nose. "Cute," Lucian uttered as he continued peppering the man with butterfly kisses. When he finally had enough of that, he released the blonde alpha with a smirk. "That's what you get for hating me."
"Then I'd love to hate you more." Eugene winked at him before he left the kitchen to take a bath.
It was only then that Lucian remembered how Eugene hadn't taken a bath yet because his father had suddenly visited them. He had to say that the man still looked just as fine as if he had taken a bath. Eugene had that charm in him.
Right, his father...
Lucian turned to face the sink as he picked up a cup to start cleaning it up. While washing the used cups, his mind was traveling through space. A part of him was tingling with suspicion about his father's unexpected visit.
Although his father was a loving man, he wasn't a push-over kind of dad. He wouldn't bend his head over his precious son just because they asked him to do so. There must be an important reason behind it.
But for what reason?
Lucian clicked his tongue, shaking his head in deep thought. His father, just like his mother, was also a mystery to himself. Cheng Ge's knowledge of this world, especially about his parents, was still considered shallow—even with the help of the original Lucian's memory.
Should he investigate his father's past as well?
"That would be a pain in the ass. My old man's too smart," he mumbled with furrowed eyebrows. "Forget it. I'll just ask him the next time we meet."
It was just that his father's sudden presence scared the gay shit out of him.
He's not ready to throw himself out of the closet yet!
"I seriously need a stress ball right now," Lucian whined pathetically. Why can't things be normal for him? He just wanted to be a rich, happy man!
