Hazel held onto her mother's hand as she walked. She felt like a child again just from being around her mother. "I miss the days we would spend time together. It's been so long since we had a mother and daughter talk that wasn't done through letters."
Renee felt like she neglected Hazel once more. "I am sorry. I thought everything here was fine so it was safe to look after your sister with her pregnancy and there are other things she hasn't shared. I should have been back and forth between you two. That was my mistake."
Hazel was curious about what other troubles there were. She was only aware of her parents being near Helena because there were a few scares with her pregnancy. "Is everything alright with Helena's marriage?'
