"I still have many of your dresses kept up in your room. I can bring one of the new ones you were excited to wear. Don't worry about the ruined one. I'll have it made again though that doesn't matter now. Can you turn for me, Hazel? We must be quick before anyone comes in with the doctor," said Renee.
Renee didn't mind that her hands had gotten dirty from the water stained from the blood that she was wiping off of Hazel. There was nothing she wouldn't do when it came to her husband and children.
Hazel turned to look at her mother. "You don't have to. I can clean myself."
"I can do it for you. I'm your mother, Hazel. Cleaning you is not a hassle for me. This is a time that you need to be cared for," Renee said, standing up from the bed as she needed to change the water. "I need to have the sheets changed too. I can do it."
