"You can rest now until it is time for dinner."
"You can also go take a break. You've been standing by my side all day and all I will do is sit to read. You may return when it is time to get me dressed for dinner," Hazel ordered the maids.
The maids excused themselves, leaving Hazel alone in the room. The second they closed the door, Hazel had to lock it. She didn't trust anyone wouldn't try to storm into her room so locking the door would give her time to react and give a bit of time to come up with how to handle the situation.
"Finally," Hazel sighed in relief.
From morning she was outside her room and now she was back to a space where she could relax. Her room was still uncomfortable as it was new to her, but it was the only place she felt she wasn't watched.
