Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

Derrick moved in for a kiss. He tried to place his lips on Anna's but Anna bit his lips.

"This bitch bit me", Derrick said, pushing Anna to the corner. He held his mouth with his right hand and raised his left hand to hit Anna. He slowly brought his hands down and shifted away from her.

"Go to hell", Anna yelled at him. She felt a sharp pain in her head, she had banged her head on the wall. She began to sob.

"Look at this crazy girl playing the victim, I cannot believe you bit me, you are an animal", Derrick said.

Anna did not respond, she began to cry softly, her face looking downward.

" You were acting all tough. What happened? I can't keep up with this bullshit", Derrick said as he flung the food on the floor and stormed out of the room.

Derrick left the basement and made his way outside the mansion. He pushed every servant that passed by him aside, without apologizing for bumping into him, his fists were clenched and he punched the wall outside and his knuckles bled.

"Here you go", a young man who looked slightly older than Derrick said, handing him a clean piece of a wipe.

"This is why you are my favorite cousin, you look after me so well", Derrick said, replacing the frown with a little smile.

"I am your only cousin", Michael said, with a broad smile that made his brown eyes sparkle in the sun.

"You never know, Uncle Gerald was quite the adventurous one from what I heard", Derrick said with a mischievous smile as he cleaned his knuckles thoroughly.

"I love seeing this side of you", Michael said. He playfully ruffled his hair.

"What can I say, you are the only one that gets me", Derrick said with a shrug.

"So, how did it go?", Michael asked, kicking the air playfully.

"Horrible, she is such a difficult person, maybe I should find someone more willing to be my pretend wife", Derrick said with a sigh.

"Then she is your perfect match. I think you two were made for each other ", Michael said, laughing childishly.

"I did what you told me to do, I was nice to her and you know me, that was a difficult thing to do. I still believe nobody takes you seriously when you show weakness", Derrick said. He moved around looking for where to sit.

"I am pretty sure niceness and weakness are not the same things ", Michael said in a soft tone.

"Let's have a seat please, I feel sore", Derrick said, moving towards the garden, he eased himself onto the white chair.

"Tell me everything, what did you do wrong?", Michael asked as he sat also, leaning forward.

"Oh wow, I will not take the blame for this one", Derrick said, moving his hands over the chess board that was on the glass table in front of him.

"I know you, Brother, you are...", Michael said before Derrick cut in.

" What? Handsome? Charming?", Derrick asked, giving Michael a stare.

"Demanding, you want everything your way and you are not used to girls saying no to you, you always have them at your fingertips doing your bidding", Michael replied firmly.

"This time I was not, I even offered her food but she turned it down", Derrick said, picking up one of the players in chess, the king.

"Okay, okay, I see. Did you get into a fight with yourself? There is a wound here", Micheal said, pointing at Derrick's lip.

"This?", Derrick asked, pointing at his lips.

"Yes, I met you on your way there and you were okay, and you said you had your hands and legs tied. Did you untie her?", Michael asked, moving closer to see the wound.

"Untie her? No, I can't have her escape, she bit my lip", Derrick said, slamming his hands on the table.

" How did this happen? Wait, what did you do", Michael asked with a smirk.

"Nothing ", Derrick murmured.

" What does that mean? Her hands were tied, her legs too, except you slammed your mouth on the wall, you better start talking", Michael said with a grin.

"Okay, I tried kissing her", Derrick said, rolling his eyes.

"You did what?", Micheal could not hold his laughter in, he started laughing uncontrollably.

"My charm always works, I just wanted to work with that. The way she looked at me, I was convinced that it was going to work". Derrick said in a low tone.

"You have no charm, the only charm you have is money, lots of it. Other than that, you are one cold fellow, you have no emotions", Michael said, patting his back.

"I don't care, all I need is total shares of the company, and I can only have that if I am officially married", Derrick said, knocking off one of the chess players.

"If you need it so badly, I can help you", Michael said, picking up the knight from the chessboard.

"How?", Derrick asked as his eyes widened.

"I will speak to this lady on your behalf. Try to convince her. It should be easy. Unlike you, I have emotions, she will listen to me" Micheal said, leaning back in his seat.

"Checkmate, just get her to sign the paper, use whatever means necessary", Derrick said, knocking down the Queen on the chessboard.

"Consider it done", Michael said, stretching his hands for a handshake.

"I blame George, he put me in this mess, he is a callous man", Derrick said, pushing everything off the table. The glass cup fell on the chess board, shattering.

"You should accord respect to your father", Michael said sternly.

"Father? He is not my father. A father is supposed to be concerned about his child", Derrick said, looking down.

"He is looking out for you. I believe you should earn the title of CEO, not just be given because you are the only child", Michael replied, picking up the pieces.

"I cannot stand that man, these past two weeks without him have been peaceful, he nags all day, and sometimes I wish he could just die", Derrick yelled.

"Derrick, that is completely unacceptable!", Michael yelled back.

"Whatever, I am out of here," Derrick said as he got up to leave.

A black colored car drove into the large mansion. It was accompanied by five other vehicles, three in front and two behind.

"Dude, I think your father is back", Michael said to Derrick.
