The water rolled over the edge and splattered down in the basin below forming a layer of fresh foam.
The foamy waters gushed over the dark banks pulling loose stone and sand into its frosty currents, leaving the ground smooth as it sunk down into the watery depths.
The foam faded away to reveal the reflected light of the moon, which gave a light glow to the surrounding trees.
But within the reflective surface there was another light glowing from a figure sat upon a pile of stones just a few feet away from the river bank.
Blue light flickered around the figure like a hazy mist, one breath then two, and the mist grew thicker, then the figure exhaled a heavy breath and the mist flickered away.
The seconds passed 5 then 10 then 15, before the blue light flickered into being again, but two breaths passed and the light faded again.
Splatter!!!
