**Nicholas**
"If that's it then, challenge accepted." Emily said.
Maximus looked taken aback, like he wasn't expecting her to be so bold. I personally was surprised, I wanted to stop her. I mean, Maximus is the best fighter this pack has and she's just a female. But then again, I wanted to see how this fight goes.
"Oh wow, Alpha where did this girl come from. She's so bold, or is she, my Luna?" that question knocked the air out of me, and I don't even know why.
Before I could answer, I heard Emily growl before saying, "I'm no one's Luna." If I'm being honest, her reaction surprised the whole lot of us. She said it like it's the worst thing that can ever happen to her. Which is quit shocking because females could kill to just have the title 'Luna'.
She then cleared her throat, "Anyway, was that a challenge or not, I don't have the whole day here." She said. She said that even yesterday and the surprising part is that she actually had nothing to do after that so I'm now wondering if she just says that to irritate the person she is saying it to.
Emily and Maximus stood facing each other in the sparing area. I cleared my throat, "Okay so the rules are simple, fight till one submits or can no longer fight. Whatever you do, do not kill each other." I set out the rules.
"Don't expect me to take it easy on you." I heard Maximus say. "Oh, I won't." retorted Emily. 'This girl is unbelievable.' Mars said in the back of my head. "Are weapons allowed?" Emily asked. "No, when you think the fight is intense, you shift into your wolf." I replied.
If I'm being honest, I want to see her wolf. For some reason, what she said about her wolf not liking me didn't sit well with me and Mars.
She bit her lip, and damn she looked sexy when she did that. "Fine." She said after some time. 'Why do you think she's hiding her wolf?" Mars asked. "I don't know." I replied. "Maybe she doesn't have one." Mars suggested. "I don't think so."
The fight started.
Maximus launched at Emily, aiming for her stomach which she easily dodged. Maximus kept launching at her, punching, kicking but Emily simply dodged. If anything, she even looked bored. What an insult to Maximus ego.
"Why aren't you attacking." Maximus asked her panting. She just shrugged, "I was waiting for you to tire yourself." She said then punched his right ribs, then she used her leg to make him lose his balance. She waited for him to get up then she attacked his right leg but before she could break it, he managed to land a blow on her chest. She moved back, giving him an opening to hit her stomach.
He was about to hit another blow, but she was faster than him. She brought his head down then hit his jaw with her knee. Then she pinned him to the ground, with one hand pinning his hands behind him and the other on his neck. "Submit." She told him. Then without warning he shifted causing her to be thrown off by the force of shifting but she managed to flip before falling and landed on her feet.
The fuck.
Then she smirked like he did the exact thing she wanted him to do. "Oh, would you look at that. You can't even fight a girl without shifting, how embarrassing." she said, clearly mocking Maximus. 'I think she is trying to get him to shift back.' Mars said. 'But why can't she just shift and get this over with?' I asked. 'Maybe it's something to do with her wolf being picky?' suggested Mars. Why the fuck could a wolf be picky, is she a goddess or something.
Maximus then pounced on her, his claws digging in the left side of her stomach which I noticed had already started healing. He then hit her on the same spot again. What I saw after left me in shock.
I have never seen such a shift, Emily's eyes were shining gold, her fingernails turned to claw nails and her canines elongated. 'No way.' I heard Mars say. 'What's up Mars?' I asked him. 'I have never seen a person share dominance with their wolf. I'm kind of jealous.' He said.
Share dominance? What the fuck does that even mean?
**Emily's POV**
If I said that I didn't panic when I saw Maximus shift, I'd be lying. Don't get me wrong, I didn't panic because I'm scared of him it's because I'd have to let Mia surface if I want to win this fight, there is no way in hell I can be able to fight a trained wolf in my human form. But then again I can't let Nicholas sense my wolf.
Maximus came at me, his size is impressive, I think it's almost the same size as a gamma wolf. On first pounce, he managed to scratch the left side of my stomach and I'm talking about a deep scratch but thanks to my abnormal wolf healing it should be good in no time.
My only prayer is that nobody noticed how deep it was. He came at me again and scratched the same spot again. 'Fuck it, Mia I need you.' I shouted loud enough in my head for it to reach my subconscious. 'Thought you would never ask.' She said.
My fingernails turned to claw nails, my canines elongated and my eyes shined gold, the color my eyes turn when Mia and I share dominance. Not to brag but not many werewolves can share dominance with their wolves, it requires a certain type of understanding between the human and wolf were both should understand that they are equals, no one is boss. In most cases the human thinks he's the boss of his wolf, so it is impossible to share dominance.
Everyone looked shocked by my appearance including Max and I used his shock to my advantage. Thanks to my knowledge on the anatomy of a wolf I knew which part to hit and when, I honestly don't understand why people love to fight in wolf form if you ask me, I think it leaves a lot of weak spots.
In no time the fight was done, Max refused to submit so I was forced to bit him till he could no longer fight. I patted his wolf's head, the way you pet your dog. "It was a good fight. I'm honestly impressed, you took longer than I expected." I told him.
Then I saw Nicholas walking towards us, his expression not giving out anything and I found myself feeling anxious. 'Don't worry, I don't think he sensed me.' Mia said. Shocking me, 'Why do you think so?" I asked. 'When we merged, I could feel a barrier blocking something. At first I thought it was the mate bond so I ignored it, but then it felt stronger so I looked into it. Then a memory that felt like mine came to me. I honestly don't remember learning about them, but I somehow now know about the germ that's on the necklace Josh gave us.' She said.
'What's with it?' I asked. 'It is something that blocks bonds. Any type of bond, be it mate bond, pack bond, blood bond….' I cut her off, 'Wait, did you say blood bond?' 'Yes, meaning we can meet this century's alpha Brown without worrying about him feeling his blood running in our veins.' She said with a smile. 'But I am so calling him grandpa when I meet him.' 'You bet.' We both chuckled.
"Ahem." My mate cleared his throat. That's when I realized that I was staring at him. Shit. "Congratulations." He said in his Alpha tone as he stretched his hand for a handshake. "I must say this is quite weird, I mean congratulating a female for winning a fighting challenge." He said.
Then he turned to his warriors, "It seems you all need to train harder, if a female can bit your best fighter, what more skilled fighters?" he said to them. 'Does he know that as an alpha trainee of the shadow moon pack we are actually better than all the other alphas that are inferior to the shadow moon pack?' Mia asked. 'Of course he doesn't, if he did he would have been proud of Maximus for putting up such a fight.' I told her. "I can teach them some things I know if they want." I offered.
"I can never be taught by a female." Said one of the warriors, I recognized as the one who supported Luca yester night. "Your loss." I simply said.
Then I turned to leave, I had to change my clothes. The shirt was uncomfortably sticky due to all the blood from the wounds that had already healed. 'Mia is there a way to slow down my healing?' I asked my wolf. I feels so nice to have her back twenty-four-seven. `I'll try to think of something but as for now no.'
"Um excuse me." Someone gently tapped my shoulder, I turned to look at the owner of the hand that tapped me. It was a boy who didn't look any older than eighteen. "Yes?" I responded as I turned my full attention to him. "I don't mind being taught by you. If anything, it would be an honor to be trained by you, I've seen how you fight, and I've never seen anything like it. And I just have a gut feeling telling me that I'm making the right choice." He said as his cheeks tinted red. 'How cute, I like him can I keep him?' Mia commented.
"What's your name love?" I asked him. He blushed even more after I called him love. "Martin, Miss." He said. "Oh please just call me Emily, we are nearly the same age I think. How old are you?" I asked him. "I'm seventeen, I'll be turning eighteen in three months." He said. "All wow, you haven't gotten your wolf yet. Perfect. I will tell you when you start training, for now just meditate." I said.
I felt a robe being put on me, I turned only to find my mate putting it. I gave him a questioning look, "Your shirt is ripped." He said trying to keep a straight face. I smiled, now I have an urge to tease him, so I went close to him then whispered in his ear, "If I didn't know better Alpha, I'd say you don't like seeing my body." I felt him tense up. I smiled again then kissed his cheek. "See you letter Alpha." I said then left.
