Aizen travelled north where his instincts have told him. It was still morning but the canopy of the trees hindered the rays of the sun to pierce the undergrowth. Making mosses grow and the insects have a habitat to grow.
The travel was not easy but it was bearable. Most of the time at least. There were rotten trees on the path sometimes that paving the forest floor was a lot harder than normal. He walked and rest in vice versa as there was still no signs of villages up until now.
In his resting, he heard shouts of nearby humans. A little bit alarmed in their tone. Some were yelling for their attack while others were shouting to make their retreat.
It was a bit of a mixed bolstering and rousing shouts while there were shrieks that felt a tinge of fear. A lot more shouts were heard and it came from horrid creatures.
Aizen ran to see what kind of creatures they were and his guess came out right. They were green skinned monsters that were as tall as your waist. Having salivating mouths and fierce mischievous eyes. Wielding crude daggers and others were rusty weapons such as swords and maces.
One that will be caught underhanded would met terrifying fates. Also, they prefer to attack in groups and being solitarily attacked would be a tad hard and difficult.
Upon his discovery, he saw many humans that were surrounded. Wearing rags and also crude weapons and shields. Others were wounded albeit shallow but one was bleeding. Right in their center. The humans were either gritting their teeth and others were having tears welling on their eyes.
It was then, Aizen dashed and made a wreaking havoc. The goblins were caught underhanded instead.
Aizen was not even limiting himself on his prowess and made a full display of his merciless attacks.
Aizen then was attacked in all directions. They smashed his shield and it was heavily damaged by the clubs. Goblins then attacked like a flood. Parading like a monster wave and then Aizen was alarmed
"Tsk! Too many! Maybe they are fifty or more in number!"
The goblins were not very frightening but the Hobgoblins were different. They have greater strength and were even nimble even with a bulky frame. Being a hobgoblin has its perks as they were the captains of their ranks.
Dueling the Hobgoblin champion was not even comparable to the fifty enemies right where he was facing. Aizen prepared for the worst.
Aizen defended his position and then blocked their attacks.
Aizen was alerted. He didn't know if he would escape or not. All he knew was, experience points would be wasted if he would not kill them all.
And so he gritted his teeth, he then dashed towards the fray.
The sword flashed and he decapitated one hobgoblin. Learning the samurai martial arts has its perks and his knowledge and skill proved to be useful. Making him smirk at his enemies.
They were weak as individuals but proved to be a hassle if numerous. Even though not as strong as their champion, they were still capable. Still, they were numerous and covered each other's backs.
Aizen attacked one and his slash was blocked by one hobgoblin.
Ting!
"Tsk!"
Aizen then rotated and flashed his sword with a slash. He didn't have a problem blocking and attacking at all as the Hobgoblins were slower than their champion. Slashing and killing were more efficient.
He was attacked by three and he blocked it all with only one weapon. His long sword then was trembling as it was crushed by the weight. It was then slid to the side and then he rotated to slash the three. Blood soon showered as their necks were cut. They soon crushed onto the ground as they covered their wounds with their hands.
Aizen then attacked the others and they were not exempted from the fury of his sword skills. He slashed two and with rising slashes, he dealt a wound on the chest.
Slash! Slash!
Aizen's eyes flashed with the intent to kill and it was the sight that they saw as their lives ended. His fury was bathed toward the enemies. Like a samurai does to its enemies.
Also, he leaped toward the enemy like a ninja and stabbed one in its back. Making the enemies tremble. He hopped towards the others as he slashed two on his front.
Aizen rotated and slashed all that tried to come closer to him and wanted to attack. He immediately kicked like a martial artist and then made space for him to initiate a frontal attack.
Slashing triple times as he passed the enemies by and then blood was sprayed on the ground. Aizen was attacked by five more and he evaded each slash of their crude weapons. Maces, clubs, rusty swords, and daggers. He then one by one slashed them as he sidestepped each slash.
He rotated three times as he made a rising slash at them.
Enemies were flabbergasted. They soon were alerted whether they could defeat such a ferocious enemy. Aizen grabbed a sword and then dual-wielded it. Slashing the enemies with his weapons. All were not even able to land a hit on him with his weapons.
He then made great killings with his weapon.
Aizen faced more enemies as they leaped toward him from all sides. Aizen was alerted. They were ready to let go of their lives just to make a wound at him. It was a gamble that they wanted to weaken their enemy. Blood oozing from him would weaken him greatly.
He evaded several of their stabbings but Aizen was covered by their great numbers. Aizen managed to get out unscathed and without wounds but he was grappled by them.
It was then, that the enemies snickered in mock as they finally made him incapable of getting out of their grasp. Aizen was alerted and was in dire straights. He should get out soon or it would be too late!
Aizen then smirked.
The enemies were butchered by the humans and so he was freed. They slashed the ones that took hold of him. Making him set free from their grasp.
Aizen grabbed his weapon and then cracked his neck. Removing the dirt on his clothes.
"Tsk! Another blunder,"
Aizen attacked once again and killed all that remained. It was finished instantly and the humans all shouted from their victory.
He wiped his sword to remove the blood. Making him sheathe his sword in the process.
Aizen watched the bodies of the enemies and had seen a notification.
[Congratulations! Your one-handed skill has ranked up!]
