Where am I? Why am I standing in this ethereal place? A dense forest on both sides and a ridiculously gigantic moon in the sky.
It felt so surreal and I could pinpoint every peculiar thing in here.
I felt a thud on my finger and saw a red string on my pinky. The string of fate? Why do I still have it on me when my mate already rejected me? As long as I knew, this string would break if one of us decided to reject the other. Just like what Alice had done to us.
"Harvey Adkins."
I heard a motherly voice calling out my name. I glanced around only to find no one around me.
"Moon Goddess? Is that you?"
"Yes, my child. And I am the one who summoned you here." That voice talked back.
"But why? Why do you call me and why this string is still attached to my finger?"
It was so confusing. I couldn't even understand what happened right now.
