The tournament began.
Portals opened up in front of every squad, each a gateway leading to a different world.
Whoever created this world is either highly experienced in dimension magic or is just experienced in magic overall.
Either way, I'm slightly impressed.
"Shall we go?" Ava spoke, standing beside me with a serious look in her eyes.
"Don't worry, just stay close to us, we'll protect you." Ruxain added, also having the same fiery expression on her face.
"Let's do this!" Orland yelled behind me, a huge staff conjured in his hand as he grinned.
I guess they are all set.
"Sigh, Crucible it is."
And that was it, we each walked into the portal followed by multiple other students.
A bright light blinded our sights, and like a vacuum, we were sucked in.
Just as quickly as that happened, I found myself standing in the middle of nowhere.
All around me were layers of sand and statues, nothing else existed.
