Chapter 6 - This is disappointing [You this None Npc.]

"Are you perhaps… the leader here?" I asked, still rooted in where I stood.

The man paused to take a look at me first, he seemed to be one of those cold types, a cigarette in his mouth, scar on one eye, and even better, he had a giant sword resting on his back.

"Kids in Ragnor? Were you abandoned by your caretakers, tell me the name of your family, I just might be nice enough to return you to them." The man spoke.

Grin!

I began moving forward, my eyes taking a dim golden glow, my step, slow but deliberate, the eyes of the bandits fixed on my form.

"You stand before me and that is the best question you could come up with?"

"Uhn?"

"How unfortunate, how unprofessional, how sad, truely, it pains me deeply, so much so, it pisses me off!!!"

With a powerful yell, I released my magic to the air, the fear that suddenly paved its way on the faces of the bandits was priceless.

My body was getting covered in dark mist, wrapped around my form that it made it impossible for anyone to tell where my body was, my eyes now golden, as I spoke,

"My name is Chaos, the abyss itself, destined to cleanse the very darkness from which I emerged. Hero to my people and enemy to all, the harbinger of death."

By the time I had finished my cringy lines, the mist that surrounded me began to fade, revealing to everyone my new form, a black bodysuit, with red glowing exterior designs and a long cloak, that covered my head and fell behind me like the wings of a hell dragon.

Chaos.

To be honest, I only just thought of that name, so there's a chance I'll change it later in the future, but for now….

"You're no ordinary kid, are ya? Not everyone has that mana to spare like that." The leader spoke, his grip now holding the hilt of his giant blade, with a powerful pull, he slammed the blade on the ground, debris flying everywhere.

Seems he was ready to fight, I'd expect nothing less from my first opponent.

"Jeanne."

"On it!"

I suddenly felt a powerful force rush behind me, and off went Jeane, in her hand, a sword, glowing with powerful lightning as she began fighting the npc bandits.

She has gotten stronger, I'm impressed, now, where is my opponent?.

A grin showed on my face as soon as I spotted the leader, slowly walking towards me, so carefree about the destruction happening around him.

Perfect, truly perfect, keep following the script, you're not an npc like the rest, you are my first opponent.

"And I wouldn't have it any other way!!!".

I launched myself forward with just a push from my left foot, and in the blink of an eye, I was right in front of the man, my fist clenched with a grin on my face.

The look on the leader's face after he suddenly saw me in front of him was something I'd kept in mind, fear, and I loved it.

Baam!

I sent my fist flying to his face, the sound of my bones crushing his face echoed before a boom pushed the leader's body backwards.

His legs slid on the ground, his blade still gripped in his hand while his face was now completely battered with blood dripping from his nose.

As my feet touched the ground, I went low, getting ready to jet myself up again.

"Come on! Come on! Show me more!!!"

I launched myself forward towards the leader, this time, he seemed to have been prepared to intercept me, he swung his blade with all he had, so much effort for a simple attack.

Of course, I blocked it with my arm, amazing how if you tweak your magic circuits enough, your skin can be as soft as water, and as hard as steel.

If I had to guess, he'd probably be thinking something like, "How did he block my attack with his hand?", hahah! This is even more fun than I thought.

"W.. what the hell are you?"

He seemed to be in panic now, taking a huge leap backwards to escape me.

"I already told you…"

My body soared forward towards him, but before I could even land a hit, he went to his knees, his hand behind his head and surrendered.

Instantly halting myself, I looked at him,

"What?".

"I…I give up, it's clear you are far stronger than me, I.. I'll forget this ever happened, me and my men can walk away, hell, I.. I'll even give you the slaves we wanted to trade with the duke!".

I stared at him.

What the... this wasn't in my list of larping scenes... Is he trying to improvise and go off script...? Yeah, it has to be. None npcs like him aren't supposed to just flat-out give up.

I'm thinking, "Alright, this is gonna be intense!" But then, out of nowhere, he throws in the towel and surrenders. Seriously, what a letdown. I mean, come on, man! You're supposed to be the ultimate canon event, and you just give up like that?.

Or... maybe he's gonna go for a sneak attack...

Yeah, that has to be it...!.

"You… surrender?" I asked.

"Yes yes, we don't want any trouble, I promise."

"You had a cigarette in your mouth, you had a scar, even a giant blade as your primary weapon, you are supposed to be cold, my ultimate first opponent… but… you surrender?".

How… How disappointing.

"I…I don't understand…"

I punched him in the face, his body falling completely on his back before I positioned myself on top of him.

Grabbing his top, I lifted him up a bit, before I began raining down multiple punches on him, each punch crushing a vital bone on his face.

At that moment, all I could think about was hurting the living hell out of him, and I did so. I exacted every frustrated disappointment I felt from his surrender, on his face, until…

He died.

Sigh, my day is ruined now, and it looks like it's getting dark too.

"Lord Aether, I've finished taking out the bandits over here." Jeanne voiced out from behind me.

"I see."

I looked to the sky, my eyes closed, the sunset bathing my face in its hue.

"And I've also located where the demons are, I got the information from one of the bandits, they seem to have been transporting these demons to Fiona".

"Hmm".

"It's only a few distances away from here, would you like me to take you there?".

"Hmm.."

"I mean, yeah sure, lead the way."

"As you wish." Jeanne replied, turning to her right before she began to walk away.

Sighing again, I followed her,

"I surrender… How disappointing."
