Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Eternal Simulation, Begin!

Xia Feng, as if hypnotized, waved his hand in between the screen. The screen distorted and broke but gathered back into the same screen instantly.

[Are you sure you could do better?]

Xia Feng felt his lips twitch and immediately pinched his thigh.

"F*ck!"

Xia Feng, a veteran reader, obviously knew what was happening.

Golden Finger!

The term flashed through his mind as he trembled with excitement and fear.

He thought he was supposed to live a mediocre life.

Grow up, take care of the parents, provide for the sister, and start a family of his own. But how did just reading a single novel change his life or rather was going to change his life.

Xia Feng didn't immediately accept the system and instead hurriedly went to the Webnovel site.

With shaky fingers, he searched for the novel, but it was gone!

"Sh*t Sh*t Sh*t!"

He wanted to download the novel because he vaguely knew there was quite a bit of helpful information.

He had been reading the novel for over a year; how could he possibly remember every single detail?

He wasn't too surprised that a very popular book had suddenly disappeared from all platforms.

In fact, after another quick scan, he found out that the screenshots of some funny lines or quotes he had taken were also gone.

But if beings like the ones in the novels actually existed, then he wasn't too surprised.

"Calm down, calm down."

Xia Feng thought about it for a brief moment before he suddenly paused and accepted the system.

"Life was supposed to be mediocre. Live, live, live, and die old. Why not experience a richer and more fulfilling life? Even if all my experiences are for naught, isn't it better than dying at the age of 80?"

Xia Feng suddenly felt a peace of mind.

So what if he died in the end?

...

[Eternal Simulation will begin!]

[Good Luck Host!]

Xia Feng felt his vision distort, and he found himself floating in nothingness.

The simulation began as he felt a tug on his soul.

[You began the Simulation and wandered the void aimlessly. A few years later, your soul was pulled into a blue planet budding with life.]

[You were reborn into an average family.]

[You are currently 0 years old.]

[A year passed, and you showed superior intelligence. You were deemed a genius, and your parents were overjoyed.]

[Two years passed, and you were known as the local genius.]

[As the years went by, your intelligence continued to shine. You excelled in your studies, quickly surpassing your peers.]

[Your understanding of the world deepened, and you found out that the world lacked famous poems and songs from your original life. You found a way to stand out.]

[Unexpectedly, at the age of ten, you discovered a hidden talent for music. Your fingers danced effortlessly across the piano keys, and to the world, your compositions were nothing short of breathtaking.]

[At the age of fifteen, you were known around the world for being a music prodigy, but only you knew that you were scum plagiarizing the work of others without a shred of guilt. Only your piano skills belonged to you.]

[Your parents, once overjoyed by your intelligence, were now doubly proud of your musical talents.]

[Time passed, and you decided to pursue a career in music. Your expertise made you a renowned figure in the field.]

[At the age of twenty, you started avoiding the public's questions regarding poems and songs because your memory of them was limited.]

[You decided to focus on the piano.]

[At the age of twenty-eight, your piano skills were increasing dramatically, yet criticism directed at you seemed to ignore your expertise.]

[Whenever you were questioned about poems and songs, you would grow irritated. You could only take out your anger on the piano.]

[You decided to move away and focus on the piano. Your parents were reluctant to part with you, but they did not object. You made sure they never suffered even when you were away.]

[A decade passed as you practiced the piano, and you were slowly forgotten. Since you did not explicitly show off your piano skills, you were also known as the Fallen Genius. You were tired of the limelight and completely cut yourself off from the musical and literature world.]

[You were now 38 years old.]

[You decided to marry. Since you had taken good care of yourself and were wealthy, it didn't take you long to find a faithful woman to marry.]

[You enjoyed your married life and had a child the next year. Your parents were proud of you and happily celebrated with you.]

[You are now 39 years old.]

[Looking at your parents after many years, you felt a sense of crisis. They did not have much time left...]

[You decided to move back to the small city you were born into with your parents. Your wife, having grown up in a modern city, was somewhat reluctant, but she loved you and could understand why you were making such a decision.]

[You moved back with your parents and enjoyed a calm and peaceful life, but you soon grew bored.]

[Five more years passed beautifully. You had two more kids, becoming a father of two sons and one daughter. Your parents took care of the children even more enthusiastically than they took care of you.]

[You felt somewhat jealous.]

[You were now 44 years old, and both your parents crossed the age of 70.]

[Your wife was content with life and enjoyed seeing her kids grow up. Three kids made sure she was never too bored with you. Your parents also knew of their upcoming death and only wished for you to continue to stay with them.]

[You felt incredibly emotional and actually cried while hugging your parents. You, who had grey hair and a beard, looked a bit comical with tears, but anyone who had lost their parents of old age could understand your pain.]

[Life was full of ups and downs.]

[Three years later, your mother grew sick. You felt worried and panicked. You splurged money like water on her treatment, and your wife grew worried.]

[You had collected a lot of money in your younger years, but your wife knew if you continued like this, you wouldn't last long.]

[She advised you to use half of the money to at least start a profitable business to ensure their future.]

[You did not argue and agreed with her. But you only used 20% of the money to start a business while thinking about the future. Your mother still needed treatment, and what about your father?]

[You had to pay your children's education fees and were worried about your parents.]

[You felt stressed.]

[A year passed, and you were now 45 years old.]

[One day you went to find your parents, but they had committed suicide.]
