KARA'S POV
"If I could reverse time, would you be willing to help the dukes?" the high priest asked me.
"To help the dukes what? Plan for the coup?" I asked in surprise.
"Yes," he said.
I looked in his expectant eyes for a moment as I processed his suggestion.
"Look, Priest what are you asking me? Why would you ask me of all people? There is no way I would be able to help them," I dismissed him. I was willing to let Viktor burn the world as long as he accepted me. Truly pathetic. To only want to help them now because things didn't go as I'd planned with Viktor felt strange. All I knew was pain and suffering I couldn't be a good person.
"You speak in a dismissive manner about yourself but again I know that's not how you truly feel. I know you couldn't have truly enjoyed what Viktor made you go through"
