COURTNEY'S POV
After my second encounter with Max I didn't see him again. He didn't come to see me neither did I go to him. I felt completely helpless. I couldn't get through to him and I wasn't strong enough to fight him myself. What was I going to do? I thought to myself.
It was four days later when there was suddenly a lot of movement in the wing, multiple knights moving up and down. It was early in the evening just before dinner and I knew something was wrong. I left my room headed for the went to the Kings office so I could find out what was going on.
Upon nearing his door, the guards that guarded his office swiftly refused to let me go in.
"Let me through to see the king," I demanded them.
"His Majesty is not currently in his office, Your Highness," the knight informed me.
"Where is he?"
"We don't know, just that he walked out."
