COURTNEY'S POV
The following weeks seemed to go by quickly. I received the letters from Duke Wharton and was updated on the progress of the plan as we waited for the two months to end and for the journey to Akron. I was nervous since it was almost time for the coup, I was looking forward to it but also worried.
I spent my days with Damea patiently waiting for the dukes' return. I would occasionally meet with Viktor for our usual meals. He would ask about the prince and how he was performing. I knew he was busy working on Akron unification now.
Prince Damea helped me train I had told him of Aldric's suggestion, and he agreed to help me. Like Aldric had said, he was a skilled fighter. As expected of a prince, his skills only seemed to improve as his wounds gradually healed. We would train at night and during the day put on our act.
