KARA'S POV
I had just come from finalizing the deal with Duke Wharton. How was I going to get out of this? I couldn't die now when we were getting so close. I mean the only reason Duke Wharton agreed to do this was because I was involved. If something happened to me everything would be ruined.
After what felt like several hours of being tossed around in the wagon from the bumpy road it was using it finally came to a stop. I heard multiple male voices speaking.
I was then taken out of the wagon and flung over one of the men's shoulders. Since I couldn't see anything I tried to listen hard to get a sense of the surroundings. I heard a door opening and the creaking of a floor. We appeared to be entering a building of some sort. I was then put down and made to sit on the floor leaning against a wall. Before the hood that covered my head was taken off me.
