One cold and chilly fall day a young woman named Odette was in her college community dorm room reading a book for her English class. All of the sudden a knock came from her door, a tall male with short black frazzled hair dark like the night sky stand there in the door frame of her room. His face pale like he had seen a ghost as his one hazel golden eye looks at her his right eye covered with an eyepatch."Ajax are you okay?" Odette asked "Get up, you need to come with me right now." He said in a dire tone as he turned around and left waiting in the hallway of their community dorm. Odette gets out of her bed after closing her book. She got into her night stand drawer and grabbed a letter she wrote a long time ago and put it in her navy blue letterman jacket before putting it on and wore the jacket leaving the room. She closed the door and followed the him into the hallway. As they walked down the hallway, a strange feeling of deja vu washed over her. "Hey Ajax haven't we done this before?" She asked. Ajax froze in his tracks and turned around looking down at the ground. "Ajax are you okay?" She asked in a worry tone. As he was talking to himself about something while looking diwn at the ground. He then looked up at her in tears once he heard her call his his name. "Forgive me Odette." He said in an apologetic tone as he lifted up his eyepatch and opened his right eye as a glow came from it "No, don't! …Ajax!" She said as she went to reach out to him to stop him. A time portal opened and in a flash she was sent back in the past of her 8 year old self on the day she met Ajax in the library of her school. She woke up after the flash went away and looked around her old room. She looked like her current self that was until she looked in her vanity mirror and saw herself stuck in her 8 year old body. "Oh no… this can't be happening." She said as a voice called out from the door of her room. she froze in fear as she looked at the mysterious figure in the doorway. "I thought I told your worthless ass to go make breakfast." The man said in a hateful tone as she stands there and looks at him "well where the fuck is it brat!" The male said as he came closer and raised his hand striking it across her face leaving a red mark. She stands there holding her cheek that was struck and looks at him holding back her tears. ``I'm sorry daddy I was so tired so I…" She said as he punched her mid sentence "did I ask why it's not done stupid?" He said angrily to her as a woman came in and she recognized who it was. The woman was her mother and she had the plate of dinner ready "Darling she did make the breakfast your requested, you just didn't see it on top of your case of beer." She said as she covered up the fact that I didn't make dinner. Her father scoffs and takes the plate as he looks down and then back at Odette "why didn't you say so moron?"he said as he went to the kitchen downstairs and ate his dinner. Odette looked at her mother and was handed a cold compress to hold on her now black eye. "Mama, why does daddy not love me? I do everything I can and yet it's like I can't please him." She said as she sobs a bit. Her mother tried to comfort the crying child "he doesn't hate you he is just stressed its okay I'll protect you odette." The woman said Odette nods and hugs her mom for a bit. Her mom stops hugging her after a while and gives her a kiss on the head "come on let's get you ready for school." The woman said as Odette nods and heads to the closet with her mom and gets ready for school. A few minutes passed and Odette was ready for school she left the house and started walking the hour walk to her elementary school.

Once Odette arrived to her old elementary school. She waked to the doors and saw three girls in a small circle she panicked as it was Jane, Mindy, and Danielle. She tried to walk past going unnoticed until the blonde girl named Jane pointed Odette out to the others and they all ran over to start a fight over yesterday's food spill incident. Odette knew if they catch her she was dead meat so she ran down the hallways as the three bullies gave chase. Odette ran faster and faster as she turned corners carefully not to run into people or objects that are in the hallway. "Split up and catch her." One of the bullies said as Odette ran more being ahead of them by a few feet. She stopped to think and saw the library she quickly ran inside and walked to the back of the library and hides getting a book and opens it to pretend to read. She in fact was starting to read the book of mythology around the world. A few minutes go by and she saw the girls give up and go back the way they came. she sighs in relief and started to walk up to the librarian to check the book out. Odette looks down and then felt a sudden bump. Odette looked up as she saw a young boy who she hasn't seen before get knocked to the ground "hey, watch where your going." The boy said as he looked up at her and she recognized his face but said nothing to him. "Hello earth to girl who bumped into me you there?" He said looking at her with his one hazel eye and his eyepatched covering the other. "Yeah I'm sorry, here let me help you!" She said as she reached her hand out for him to help pull himself up with. Once the boy was on his feet he looks at the girl and smiles "thanks." He said as Odette had the sense of deja vu along with the boy "Don't I know you?" They said at the exact same time and then a moment went by and they laugh at the encounter. "My name is Odette Marshall." She said to the boy "Ajax Kye." The boy said as Odette was stunned by who the boy claimed to be. It really was him her college roommate Ajax.
