Third person POV
And then, 2 weeks after Akira's 18th birthday, back to school came, and Akira and Hachi had to return to Okutama for their new school year. Luckily, their detective agency understood that and allowed them to return to the mountain village for their education. And so, Akira and Hachi packed up and went back home by train. The time was afternoon, and the duo left Tokyo at 5 p.m. so they would rest up at home and go to school tomorrow morning.
Upon arriving at their family home in Okutama, Akira and Hachi unpacked their things, dressed in their house clothes, and ate dinner with Akira's family. Their family was happy that both of them had worked well in Tokyo and had arrived at their home safe and sound.
And so, by tomorrow morning, after a hearty and nice breakfast, Akira and Hachi dressed in their school uniforms and went to school. At the same time, Miki was now a freshman in high school and attended her older brother and adoptive brother's school, much to their joy and delight. And on that morning, as Miki was in the entrance ceremony, Akira and Hachi went to their classroom. At this point, Hachi was now in the same classroom as Akira after managing to study and pass exams to get to that level and grade, even while working as a junior detective in Tokyo. In that classroom, many of their classmates said their greetings to them.
"Morning, guys!" Akira happily responded back.
"Hey, guys!" Hachi happily added.
But then, their attentions were caught by Aiko, who was now quiet and calm. "Morning…" she said calmly and slowly. Seeing her expression, Akira remembered what she did to him on his recent birthday at his home and became concerned for her. Hachi was stunned at her change of character, remembering her arrogant attitude months ago.
"Are you okay, Aiko-chan?" Akira asked her.
Aiko then looked at him and Hachi with a neutral and calm look on her face. "Yes…look…I am sorry for making fun of you. I…I shouldn't be arrogant to you and looking down on you…I was stupid and wrong…"
"Woah…" Hachi was astonished.
His mind then said, "She changed for the better!"
"It's okay, Aiko-chan," Akira replied back positively and cheerfully. "We wanted to hear you say sorry to us and regret your selfish actions on us."
Aiko then became a bit positive and nodded. "Thanks. I'll be nice to you and everyone from now on."
Akira and Hachi, alongside Riho, were happy to hear that and supported her personal advocacy of herself.
Meanwhile, one student, who was a boy with red hair and dark grey eyes, was looking at them while taking notes about Akira and Hachi. That young fellow was no ordinary student at all. But who was he?
