Third person POV
And then, someone came to the house. It was Aiko's parents, who were alerted upon seeing the party being held at Akira's house. Both of them came and gave Aiko a slap on the face while angrily asking what she did to Akira now. "Um, sir…" Toshi solemnly and calmly responded, "…this child had insulted Akira here."
Aiko's father and mother then looked at their daughter, who was cowering in fear.
"What have you done, you stupid child?" her father asked her angrily.
"That kid you made fun of was the nephew of the current president of the Phillippines!" her mother added in scolding. "Making fun of him is a grave mistake! His uncle might file a lawsuit against us if you do something bad towards him or his family. Since when you learn to look down on other people, huh?"
Although her parents are normal, nice people, Aiko becomes spoiled and entitled because of her family's socioeconomic status.
Now, Aiko was scared and regretful of her bullying and belittling of Akira and apologized to them, Akira, and everyone else in the party with tears in her eyes. But her parents felt so ashamed of their daughter's actions that both forced her head to bow down while apologizing to Akira and everyone vehemently and desperately.
"It's okay, sir," Ian responded to this.
"Yes, as long as she apologized to us and regretted her actions," Theo's comrade, Yama Juan, added understandingly, "she is okay."
Aiko's parents were happy but were still upset and angry at their daughter. So, both of them dragged Aiko out of the house while telling her that she was grounded for the rest of the summer vacation period. Kae tried to offer some food to the parents, but the couple refused and just promised to get some later once their daughter was grounded in her room at home. Kae, Akira, and the others then understood that, before going back to the blowing-of-the-candles part of Akira's birthday party. And then, finally, Akira blew his lone candle on his birthday cake, causing everyone to cheer for him. After that, everyone had some cake for dessert.
After dessert, Akira's family and most of the guests started handing gifts to Akira. Luckily, Hachi had a present for him, which was a cheap gel pen in black. Toshi, meanwhile, had a British-made, red and blue, flannel for him. Htet also had a postcard of a tribe in Myanmar for him. So, seeing those nice gifts from them, Akira was happy and delighted, accepting them with thankfulness for them. The birthday boy then opened them one by one, tearing the gift wrappers and untying the ribbons, delighted by their various contents. Some were personalized mugs and keychains, while others were clothes and stationery items. But one gift stood out among the rest. And that gift was…
"Huh? Bullets?" Akira asked in wondering and stunning while looking at a box full of pistol bullets.
But these bullets are not regular bullets; these are Damascus bullets.
Those kind of bullets are made of Damascus steel and are resilient and can pierce through basically anything from riot shields to tank armor.
Thus, these bullets are expensive, costing an average of 1,000 pesos per piece.
Then, Akira noticed a note attached to the box and read it. it was from Daniel. The note says, "Akira, congratulations on your gunnery training and for turning 18 this year. This box of bullets was for your work as a detective. These are expensive, so please use them wisely, okay? Good luck."
Akira was shocked that his uncle had sent him this very expensive set of special bullets.
"No way!" his mind commented in shock.
But Akira decided to accept it alongside all of the gifts and said thank you to those who gave those gifts to them.
Everyone in the party was happy for him.
