???'s POV
Today is May 22nd, 2nd day of my search for the mysterious creature here in Okutama, Tokyo. I had been asking people for any info regarding that creature, but so far, no luck whatsoever.
My name is Toshi Kawasaki, a supernatural detective from Tokyo. I am a half-Japanese, half-British born in London, England. My mother is a British while my father is a Japanese. They are both wealthy business owners based in London. Although I was born into a wealthy family, I am not a spoiled brat.
From an early age, I was a genius. I easily passed every exam at school starting from primary school. So much so, I was accepted into the world's most prestigious university at just the age of 18 and graduated at the age of 21. After some time, I worked as a soldier for the British military and even a member of the British intelligence agency for 4 years. But, at the age of 25, I decided to resign and moved to Japan to work as a detective for a detective agency called Shibata Supernatural Agency, one of the few agencies established with the purpose of bringing order to the supernatural world. I had been working there for half a year now.
And now, I am in a case about a mysterious creature that is said to be roaming the mountains near here in Okutama. Some men came to my agency to report that missing creature as a runaway child, claiming that he ran from home.
So, one morning, while I was walking, I saw three kids walking together in school uniforms. They seemed to be good friends.
"Excuse me, you three," I said to them while showing a drawing of the mysterious creature, "have you seen this creature?"
When they looked at it, they seemed to be calm.
I became suspicious at that behavior.
But, one of them said to me, "Nope, not at all."
This response makes me a bit stressed because I spent the last 2 days trying to get any tip or clue regarding that creature.
So, I just sighed in defeat. "Okay, thanks, you may go now."
With that the three kids left. I then went back searching for any clues.
Despite how smart I am, I can be that clueless.
