"A purpose?"
Hey, that's a bad insult. I'm not a purposeless man.
I purposefully like to tease women and have fun by messing around.
"You must have been lonely, my boy…" The fiery silver skeleton suddenly hit a deep corner of my existence.
"Wh.what…?"
The skeleton's consolation came without warning and caught me off guard.
"What do you mean by lonely?"
"The place that you spent your childhood in…"
He slowly explained as the mirrors that had settled around me started showing the scenes of my childhood in my orphanage.
"Hey, isn't this me?"
I watched as the mirrors showed me a small Alan eating in the corner of the table.
He was wearing a torn over sized shirt and was eating only a potato from his otherwise empty plate.
A fellow kid dropped a sharp broken triangular piece of glass near him.
Little Alan picked it up and looked at his reflection while chewing on his cold potato.
