Asher couldn't wrap his head around it. After the beat-up, he couldn't understand why he felt like something was off, but he decided not to chase the thought much and rest.
He had returned home without delivering, so he knew for sure that he was getting fired. He rested in bed and watched television.
But for some reason, his mind kept going towards the pendant his dad left for him. He struggled in his mind, but he couldn't fight the thought, so he got up to go get it.
But as soon as his finger touched the cupboard, a portal appeared in the room and a four-handed black creature with a long horn on its forehead walked out.
Asher froze when he saw this, but a sudden instinct kicked in. He dashed for the door.
The creature leaped into the air and landed in front of Asher, stopping him from getting to the door.
