The next day, the team was ready to go to fight the level 6 beast, they headed out of the orphanage, activating every array in the building to keep the kids safe.
As they stepped out, space distorted in front of the building, a space crack appeared. Headmaster Leo walked out followed by a host of people.
Asher didn't know how his body moved, but he moved subconsciously running to his mum, he gave her a hug that would squeeze the air out of her lungs.
"Calm down, you will kill me." His mother said.
Simon ran to his father, but he didn't see his little sister with him.
"Her illness finally got to her." His father said. His sister had been terminally ill, the disease had refused all medications.
His father broke into tears, Simon hugged him, his eyes filled with tears, but he refused to let them out. He had wished that somehow his sister would have survived, but it seemed that it couldn't be.
