The team left the group; they were all headed to separate bases that had been set up in the section. Nathan held the map and led the way. The journey was estimated to take two hours if there were no disturbances.
As they walked, Simon couldn't hold back anymore, so he asked, "What about the women and children that those men said were in the airport?" He didn't like the idea of letting their husbands die and still not assisting the women and children.
"I understand how you feel, Simon, but we were ordered to head to our base, not to evacuate anyone," Nathan said as he led through the road.
"But aren't we doing this to save people? Isn't that the reason for fighting the beasts?" Simon argued.
"No, it is a power game," Ella said.
"What?" Simon didn't understand her.
"A power game is when those in charge do anything to keep people under their control," Asher said.
