Zoe soared up and her Scythe began to crackle with lightning and power. "May death..." She threw up her Scythe into the clouds, and from it came a massive sword, ready to strike. "CLEANSE YOUR SOUL!" She now threw her hand down with a yelp of minor struggle, her eyes glowed golden as the massive purple and gold blade smashed down onto the being, but, surprisingly, it managed to block most of the impact and was only a quarter damaged. "How?!"
Aster charged at the monster, slashing at it's legs with a built up store of energy, cracking the leg armour and making it stumble back.
"NOW!" Aster nodded to Lily who used her magic to create a constriction field around the beings arms, rendering it powerless.
It roared and it core in the shape of a diamond, dark purple coloured energy building so it could use it to free itself.
Zoe gasped and created the same massive blade and threw it down, it smashing onto the creatures core and breaking it into nothingness, the monster fading to dust.
Rio had sprinted off to the Shadow Lord's lair as soon as the battle started.
Aster, Lily and Zoe ran after him abs eventually found his within the temple, using his shadow magic to keep a dim black candle alive.
"Rio! What are you..." Lily trailed off.
"This candle connects the Shadow Lord and the Shadow Magic attached to this world...without it...all may become unbalanced." Rio drew more energy from him by the moment to keep the dark flame burning.
The flames crackled and spat weakly and seemed to be gaining and losing strength.
Lily walked to the flame, summoning magic to her hand and placing her two hands in a cupping motion above the flame, cutting off Rio's magic stream and Lily's magic went into the candle instead.
"Rio...go and help the others find Bria, I'll keep the flame alive and heal it, possibly." Lily ordered, which was a shock to Rio, apparently.
He looked like protesting but decided to do as asked.
"Stay safe, Lils."
"I will, Aster."
