Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 - The Name Aldric

As the train carried her closer to her destination, an unusual wave of confidence washed over her.

It was as if a newfound determination had taken root within her, providing her with an inexplicable sense of assurance.

Upon reaching her apartment, she wasted no time.

Her drenched hair clung to her shoulders as she swiftly changed into fresh clothes.

She needed a clear mind for the challenge ahead.

After changing, she stepped into the shower, the warm water soothing her body.

In the confines of the bathroom, she delved into deep thought, contemplating how to tackle the impending problem.

At first, her worry overwhelmed her, and tears welled up in her eyes, trailing down her face, obscured by the shower's flow.

But this vulnerability was short-lived. She wiped away her tears and with a newfound resolve, she told herself,

"This is it. It'll either be failure or success. Why should I worry? I'll give it my best."

With determination in her heart, she emerged from the shower, the room filled with the aftermath of her rushed steps.

She sat before the mirror, her serious expression as she practiced a facade of a smile, a mask she would wear in the battle that awaited her.

She dedicated herself to this preparation, so much so that her body naturally dried on its own.

As the clock struck midnight, she realized the importance of the day ahead.

With a sense of urgency, she took some pills to aid her sleep.

The next morning dawned, and she awoke to the realization that she was running late.

With only thirty minutes remaining before the critical 9 o'clock meeting at the business tycoon's office, where a significant deal was at stake, she had to move swiftly.

In a mere ten minutes, she dressed herself, and in the following five, she grabbed a piece of toast, applied jam, and devoured it with determination.

Ready for the challenge, she left her apartment.

It was then that she remembered she had left her car at the office. Panic set in as she realized she was without transportation.

Her anger flared, and she shouted in frustration, "That stupid bastard!" She muttered with teary eyes, "How could he? Because of him, I'm going to be late."

But she remembered her spare car. To her dismay, it was out of fuel.

Her frustration mounted, and her anxiety grew as the minutes slipped away, threatening her punctuality for the crucial meeting.

With no other choice, she rushed toward the train station, her heart racing.

She managed to catch the train in the nick of time, and finally, a wave of relief washed over her.

She had only 15 minutes left until the meeting.

Now, on the train, she was filled with a mix of stress and determination, hoping against hope that she would make it on time.

As the train swayed on its journey, a familiar face appeared before her – the young man from the previous day.

His friendly wave and cheerful "Hi!" were met with an unexpected outburst of fury from the girl.

She smacked his head and shouted, "I hate you!!!!" She retreated to a corner, her frustration evident as she mumbled, "I'm going to kill him if I get late.

"The incident left everyone on the train surprised, and the man stood there, baffled by her reaction.

The train eventually arrived at a station just 5 minutes away from the business tycoon's office, where the crucial meeting was to take place.

The girl rushed off the train as if her life depended on it.

With only 5 minutes remaining, she made her way to the office building and headed for the elevator.

To her dismay, the elevator had already departed by the time she reached it, and she almost had tears in her eyes.

"This sucks," she muttered with frustration.

With no other option, she started to climb the stairs, a daunting task of ascending ten floors.

As she reached the seventh floor, her eyes widened in disbelief as she encountered the man again.

Confused by his presence and feeling as if he was intentionally following her, she fumed, "You stalker, you devil, I'm going to kill you when I'm done here."

The man was left feeling bewildered and awkward as she rushed ahead of him.

Finally, she reached the office with just one minute left until the meeting.

Exhausted and breathless, she pulled herself together.

This was her moment, and she entered the meeting room. Everyone was already seated, and an empty chair caught her attention.

She wondered who the chair belonged to, and it suddenly dawned on her that it was meant for the tycoon himself.

As the clock struck exactly 9 am, the door swung open, and a figure stepped into the room.

The girl was about to unleash her anger and frustration, thinking the man was a relentless stalker who had followed her all the way.

However, as she turned to face the newcomer, the atmosphere in the room changed dramatically.

Everyone stood and greeted with a resounding "Good Morning Sir, it's an honor to be in the presence of Sir Aldric Trompson the 20th."

The girl was struck dumbfounded, her eyes wide in disbelief.

She had just realized that the man she had been so furious with was none other than Sir Aldric Trompson, a billionaire and one of the world's most influential figures.

The realization hit her like a tidal wave, and her soul nearly departed her body.

With her eyes locked onto the man, she saw him smile just as he had done multiple times before.

But this time, rather than finding comfort in that smile, Evelyn felt a rush of emotions that left her in a state of profound shock.

She had unknowingly lashed out at one of the most powerful individuals on the planet, and the consequences of her actions were uncertain.
