"I'm fine, how long have I been out?"
"Oh! Maybe around 8 hours by now?"
"WHAT!?"
Jiu Li sprang up from the bed, shocked at how long Zheng Hu has accompanied him.
"You should get going…"
Zheng Hu shook his head.
"But I was the reason you fainted, no?"
"…"
Jiu Li was rendered speechless. He had no way to refute that. From Zheng Hu's point of view, Jiu Li had fainted because of him.
He couldn't balantly say what happened just now. Well, to be honest, Jiu Li couldn't even put the event into words mainly becuase he couldn't differentiate whether it was a dream or something else.
Just then, Jiu Li had found an excuse.
"I probably had fainted due to stress. Please don't worry about me, you can leave, after all, it's not guaranteed that I've fainted because of you."
Please leave already, don't be quick to assume.
"Oh, alright, see you around then, please give a response to my question when you recover.",
Zheng Hu said before heading out of the room. Jiu Li waved back in relief. See you never! Wait, now, should I just call in sick and come back a day before the mission?
…
As Zheng Hu stepped out of the room, he thought, 'Is he really fine on his own?'
Jiu Li seemed to have been troubled by something—probably nothing big, but Zheng Bu still couldn't help but feel concerned about him.
After all, Jiu Li seemed so weak, almost fragile, like a delicate vase that could shatter at any moment based on what he had seen so far. (Definitely not fragile lol, if Jiu Li heard that, he would faint from shock)
Zheng Hu couldn't shake off the feeling that Jiu Li needed someone to watch over him, to make sure he was alright. That man was unpredictable, that's one thing Zheng Hu was certain about.
But it wasn't his place to intrude on Jiu Li's personal life.
…
Oh my god why did Zheng Hu bring me here—wait, no I'm a idiot of course he would bring here I literally fainted infront of him he's not heartless enough to just leave me lying on the floor…ugh! Why infront of him out of all times?!
Jiu Li felt like he wanted to punch himself in the face—even though he was not fond of experiencing pain. And it was all because of his body!
Jiu Li was sure that he was never stressed since transmigrating besides during his time in the warehouse, he knew his health wasn't bad, and that he got enough sleep. The corners of Jiu Li's mouth were lowered, curling into a frown.
Argh! Just this body of mine!

Author: What is Jiu Li to you?
Zheng Hu: A fragile and reckless man, and mysterious, I must add. You will never know his next move, and once your eyes stray from him, he finds himself in danger. (Referring to Jiu Li almost getting injured from the chaos delinquents were causing and when Jiu Li fainted)
Wei Feng: Eh, someone I can trust and rely on. Might be the only actually.
Jiu Li's parents: A precious child who should be only exposed to the good side of the world!
